I was adopted about 3weeks after my birth. I feel the same way you do. Call my adopted parents dad and mom. My mother never hid the fact that I was adopted so it has never bothered me at all.  The only thing I would say to my birth mom is thanks.

I don't think adoption is a huge deal neither. My mother was adopted by my grandma while back because of the abuse her real parents had given her and she as well has no desire to find out who they were.. She was born in Saskatchewan, she is a native American adopted by a large family of white people.

If you never found out you'd always think of them as your parents anyways

And have an adopted brother/sister is kinda like having a new pet
