I understand that most people upgrade to the IRS and Rack and Pinion...but anybody with a set of hand tools and a desire to get off your butt can build one of these for a quarter of the cost.
Kit including rims: $5400
Crate engine: $4k
Aftermarket suspension: up to $4k
Interior including paint, roll bar, shifter, console and after market seats: around $3k
Exhaust: $1k
A really nice fastback that is rust free: Around 25k...
Get some buddies to come over and make something you can be proud of...
my old neighbor had one that he restored a few years back, don't know if he still has it now but i loved that car.. # 9 that was produced and only had 11k miles on it at the time.
i think i phrased my question wrong. I'm in socal and i believe you are in located around norcal, are you find them easier up there. also are you buying them yourself and finding clients or are they providing you with the vehicle and all of the supplies?
UH PAINT JOB PLEASE ?
