I met tom morello on a flight from london in 1997 when he was going to a mumia abu jamal fundraiser in new york city. They have motivation, they use their music as a vehicle to reach out to people who might not otherwise hear their political message. It's one of the reasons I respect the band so much, their music isn't lip service. It isn't some formulaic/algorithm conceived by some radio exec that is a real "hit with our test group". Their music is driven and has a purpose besides just entertainment. It's informative. You don't see it often. Alright, I'll stop the fanboy rant =)
