The allies suffered more losses, but that was mostly because of the USSR and China. The U.S. only lost about 300,000 men in the war. The Soviets lost 300,000 trying to take Berlin.

I agree with you except for the rifles...the chassepot was more accurate and had a higher rate of fire than the Dreyse. It was also the first time that the french used machine guns but the weapon was so secret that soldiers weren't aware on how to use it properly.

France declared war on Germany because they feared that Wilhelm I's Son-in-Law (?) would succeed to the throne of Spain and wanted him to abdicate, not knowing that he had already declined. Had he ascended to the throne of Spain, France would have been surrounded.
When the French diplomats approached Wilhelm and demanded the abdication, he declined and Bismarck provoked a declaration of war. The war was to be used as a way to unite the German states under Prussian leadership.

Even by modern International Law Germany would not have been the aggressor in WW1. They committed (by modern standards) a war crime by forcibly moving through Belgium, but they weren't the as it was not them who first started the chain reaction.

my ancestors have been in the colonies since 1638. They fought on the Southern side in the US civil war. It was a gross mistake & the rest of the South was burnt to the ground probably like Europe after WWII. The commandant of Andersonville GA union POWS was the only person hanged for war crimes. The allies suffered more losses, but that was mostly because of the USSR and China. The U.S. only lost about 300,000 men in the war. The Soviets lost 300,000 trying to take Berlin.

In 1913 "nationalism and antigermanism" were so much "at their climax in France"... that the French elected a left-wing, pacifist Parliament, which planned to reduce military service. Parliament had all the power under the 3rd Republic, while the president (Poincaré then) was constitutionally impotent.
You can't change this essential fact: Germany declared the war to Russia and France, and violated Belgian neutrality. Otherwise, there would not have been a Great War.

France tried to prevent this war by withdrawing all troops 10 km from the border, to avoid any incident which might trigger a war. Yet German patrols constantly made incursions into French territory to provoke the declaration of war. Germany was far from "isolated", with Austria, Italy & Turkey.

The Plan XVII was designed as a response to a German attack. It could also imply a French offensive in Rheinland or Baden, without meaning that France wanted to annex these German regions.

This is what the history books tell us, but anyone who has studied the history in depth and has any common sense will realize that France formed an alliance with Russia specifically with the aim of displacing Germany as the preeminant power on the continent when the time was right. Alsace-Lorraine was just a symbol of the loss of French power. France never reconciled itself to the loss of the provinces or the subservient position it held in Pre-WW1 Europe.

I don't know what you consider "historical objectivity". For me it means using sources, mainly archives and testimonies. Fact is that;
- Since the 1890s, no French political party ever (not even nationalists) mentioned a "revenge" against Germany, nor reconquering Alsace-Lorraine.
- I have read some 100 diaries of 1914 French soldiers, mostly junior officers. Not ONE of them ever thought of a "revenge" war. They just saw that France was attacked and had to be defended.

ya i honor my great great grandpa he was in the German army a major thats almost a hi as it gets he was shot 5 times two by his liver he was very blesd to make it but he never talked about the war all his buddies died in the war then he moved to america after the warhe sometimes went back to Germany to see the grave site of his pals sadly he died not that long after he moved he died of war wonds my grandpa said when he talked about the war he started to cry its sad what they did to him in war.

Actually the origins lie, not just in Napoleon enterprise, but in the French revolution which declared war against European powers (Napoleon just inherited revolutionary wars). From France, the poison of nationalism infected all Europe.
