thank you for posting this. I wrote lyrics to it and recorded it at a jazz fest some years after my friend Hamp passed in 1977. Great musicians on this. Hamp approved the lyrics and we were working on an album when he suddenly was gone. This was such a lovely album.
@ocnoreen Hampton was a very joyful pianist. Nobody else could play both acoustic and electric piano in the same song and find the perfect phrases for each.

@ajdicks Agreed. I saw him at the hospital with my daughter shortly before he passed. Very sad......He was the best.
