@Ucaskater of course it does any song worthwile playing will take a whilst to learn take cliffs of dover for eg ive been learning that for 3months and i can still only play 2mins of it and that dosnt include the intro.its always hard and long winded but worth it in the end.

@josh4kicks I don't use any pedals!!! I plug straight into my amp which is a 50 Watt Marshall Valvestate combo - the AVT50 - I don't think they make them anymore! Its on the overdrive channel with some reverb (gives the echo sound). Also my guitars use EMG active pickups which give a good distortion when combined with the marshall.

@gitba after the first D power chord there are two consecutive down strokes at 5th string / 5th fret but when striking this, the sound is becoming harmonic when trying to mute this. What is the best technique to mute this? Should I use palm? Finger muting is not so effective. Please help.

hm... wouldn't it be easier to play if you used index finger and ring finger for those power chords instead of index finger and pinky? at least i still have a hard time holding down those two strings with my pinky. and there's sometimes less finger movement involved if you use your ring finger instead - so you can get faster more easily... but... maybe that's just me and maybe i'm overlooking something. just seems easier..
