I'm a trickster. It's predictable being one but the only part I care about in breakdance is the power moves. Even though I don't train them I love watching them. Really interesting story. Thanks for sharing. It's pretty sad that the only ones I value in breakdance are the outcasts of it.

I do agree up to a certain point that they may have been a little misguided... but flavour and time was all they needed. They were already untouchable in form and stamina. I can tell you now that if someone like KYS were to do a couple of flares in the opposite direction the crowd would lose their fucking mind. It is sad to see this very special type of powerhead become a relic of the past. I know for one thing that people will shit talk each other on YT if someone's move isn't "clean enough"

Andre, you have been a great friend and mentor for a long time. You are also my closest connection with the old school Brazil style powermoves. It is fucked up because these people that so easily dismissed Brazillian powermoves have destroyed a very unique and talented scene. Maybe it didn't suit the way people battled overseas but to name call it just immature. These bboys trained REALLY hard to get what they did. It shows how much passion and dedication they have for the art.

I love the brazilian powermoves! But yeah, it has no boring dancing, therefore makes it something differend than breakdancing.

Why care about a name? Just do what you love to do.

They should start making international "powermoves only competitions".
