  • I think his tempo was too fast.. or not much emotion..

  • I almost started to cry at each note hit. No words really describe this piece of art.

  • ok, I understand she's hot, but come on... I want to hear him play already!

  • i cried a little... like?

  • Η συνθεση που απελευθερωνει τα τραυματα της ραγισμενης καρδιας!!!

    Μπραβο!

  • perfect technique but emotionless...

Closing your eyes you can't feel what J. Williams wanted you to feel.

    However, great performance

  • @astrolabi18 yo bro i don't know whatchu talking about, Hope's playing gave me chills.

  • to ipoodaily:

"nobody cares" was your best response to my comment posted 1 ago??!

This particular piece of music is a commentary on the events that took place in Europe between 1939-1945.

It is John Williams's music, the soloist's playing, and the vivid feature film " Schindler's List" that tells us about the plight of a "people" and the atrocities that took place.

Your comment is insulting, and shows that you are not commenting on the beauty of music nor the playing.

  • Daniel Hope is the violinist version of Louis CK.

  • Die waren Meister sind die, die solche tollen Stücke komponieren!

  • man man man was ein hammer das ding ich liebe dieses stück wonderfull thx for posting ^^

  • The tone of this piece is quite Jewish like, just like Mahler Symphony No.1 3rd Movement...Really nice

  • gamw thn germania sas mounia

  • @giannis2810

    what? english please....

  • was ist das für eine moderatorin?

    börsenguru?

    omg

  • He is next to Carmignola in my scale of preferences if that's any tangible of course... A beautiful player anyway and strong on emotions. Excellent !

  • Very good violinist I am discovering...Has he come to Brussels yet..?

  • Incredible. Absolutely superb. I really enjoyed this.

Now if he could only sort out that haircut...

  • So great I almost forgot to click "Like"

  • At , 4 :37 what an amazingly pure shock of emotion , through music. Proof that music is a language , and a physical force like any other.

  • @spielme Totally agree with you on that one!

  • @spielme Totally agree with you on that one!

  • I think the tempo is too fast but other than that beautiful playing.

  • thats my opinion

  • sick puppies. can't u just focus on the music part and not all the hate that goes on all over, he plays beautifull, but perlman is much better to my ears. i prefer perlman over him. perlman has much more emotions, plays it slower, and just expresses his feelings with every note he is just talking with his violin, like giora feidman with clarinet.

  • Maravilloso, no hay palabras para el sentimiernto de este tema.

  • respect from slovakia

  • for my taste, this is played a lot too fast. i too prefer other interpretations played with other instruments, especially the guitar covers

  • Emotion. Music. :)

  • Perlman's ending is the best

  • Beautiful

  • iam not fan of long distance vibrato.

  • dont you find it 3 kilo Vibrato?

  • Nobody got ever that close to Perlman.

  • For some reason, with no offense, Daniel Hope's version sound more technical, more mainstream, more of regret, remorse and guilt.

Like you doing something wrong and aren't able to change the fact ever.

Itzhak Perlmans' version sounds more raw, more humble and it sounds more of loss, depression, delirium.

Daniel would be a purple and Itzhak would be a blue.

  • Nicely done

  • schöön :)

der hat seinen bogen aber doll gespannt^^.

  • im german and you dont must be an jewish to feel heartbreak about the holocaust its thing no we not can say its an thing because millions of jewish people were murdered in this KZs when i saw the pictures how they murdered and how the graves of these people look i feel heartbreak but ill never mind that one fuckin person have the chance to kill about 6.million jewish childs, mothers, sisters, brothers, fathers god save this souls and are lovely to us when our last time has come amen

  • so sad and emotional.

I'm half jewish and I feel for so many jewish :' (

    it's just heartbreaking

  • Almost sounded exactly like the film. Itzhak I think has an edge on him though, but this man is very very good.

  • @swerveonthebeat Thats because Itzhak is the best ever.

  • too fast

  • BRAVO!

  • His technique is good and nearly matches Perlman...

The emotion he brings over tries to be like Perlman, but when it comes to emotion, Perlman is far more better...

  • Great Sound. He is amazing :)

  • Gratulálok gyönyörű szépen játszol... Gyuró Hungary Congratulations wonderfull...

  • He's good. I ain't gonna lie. But his timing was a bit off. He rushed a bit.

  • Alright but not as good as Itzhak.

  • wonderfullllllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That was beautifully played, but I still think Izhak Perlman does a better job. It just sounds more sad whenever Perlman plays it.

  • starts at 2:05

  • this would have been a real spectacle to watch live... Williams is a genius, ok these guys pla the music but the coposer is the mastermind.. i love williams's work, James Horner is awesome to

  • why do some dudes who play the violin look and dress like vampire pimps

  • im british. and i think this captures it prefectly.

  • And what are you? American? ;)

One thing is sure though. You are stupid. Very. Just dumb.

  • lady venturi i dont think anyone could have said it better. its a beautiful piece that can not only be understood as a sorrowful piece but also a piece of hope. Well actually more of hope in distress.

  • He plays beautifully, very simple and unaffected. It's a beautiful piece and a great movie too. I can't help but think of Liam Neeson (who played Oskar Schindler) and the grief he must be still trying to cope with at the moment. Music like this speaks to us on every level, from one man's personal tragedy to the sorrow of millions.

  • A very beautiful performance!

  • he is so good

  • Shouldn't you all be commenting on Daniel Hope's beautiful playing? rather than discussing history and someone's ignorant views of it?

AgeOfUniversalDeceit, this is not the place for your blatant attempt at promoting your ignorant racist views.

Most of my family, starting with uncle's, Grandfather and other relatives died at the hands of the NAZI's either in Auschwitz or in combat on the Eastern Front.

    Please see a specialist.

  • Well said. I am sick of this guy! He turns up on every holocaust-related video on the Internet, no matter how remote the connection! A.O.U.D, get help!

  • @kolobok1 nobody cares. u shut up too and listen. ignore the rest if u dont like what theyre saying

  • Very Beautiful!

  • Okay, seriously people, it's about the music.

The Dolocaust was REAL, and this song is in honor of the lives that were lost.

    So ENJOY the music.

    Jeez.

  • what a suit jacket!

  • yes, BUT that didnt stop hitler from taking over the same countries that those jews immigrated to. those who immigrated thought they were safe, until that happened - so millions got rounded up anyway.

also, the germans were very good at record keeping - those names of people that were killed werent just made up.

  • Hitler had to take Poland to keep the jew communists from killing all of the German nationalists who lived there. It was Hitler's moral duty to respond to the Danzig Massacres where the communists killed 58,000 and the Katyn Forest Massacre where the communists killed 25,000. All of Hitler's decisions were designed to preserve as many lives as possible while all of Stalin's decisions were designed to get rid of as many humans as possible.

  • that's not an excuse for killing innocents - jews, homosexuals, anyone who resisted him, german civilians along with countless lives, and screwing up europe the government response was beyond wrong wrong to those massacres. ALSO, hitler wanted aryans to take over. so not just jews and communists were targets

what happened in WWII caused unimaginable pain, there are some things you cant know through books and research, only experience.

  • no gassings? no cremations? dont kid yourself.

nazis and allied forces along with survivors testified there were. there is PHOTOGRAPHIC evidence.

watch documentaries, talk to someone who was there - either an ex nazi or survivor. have you ever even met someone who was in it? liberation soldiers will tell you what they found in camps.

millions died because of WWII. hitler was nothing more than a murderer.

there is no point in defending the reasons for the holocaust, or denying it.

  • first of all, NOT all those communists were jews.

Rudolf Hoess, commandant of auschwitz admitted the many lives lost "in the gas chambers". yes, he stated gas chambers. if you visit auschwitz, you can see the chamber for yourself, and the fingernail marks left on the walls by desperate victims.

during the catholic inquisition which lasted centuries, MILLIONS died. religion is a big source of pain and conflict in this world.

just down with cruelty. whether its politics, religion, color, etc.

  • wow bro germans arent nazis. i am american. i have studied the language for 4 years, and I have travelled there. its a wonderful country that has a bad past but citizens in germany are not nazis. stop being ignorant, its pretty obnoxious

  • Sorry, that wasn't aimed at Germany or German people, it was aimed at this spammer named TuthIsAntiSemitic who keeps posting anti-Semitic trash all over the place. I have no prejudice again Germans, past or present. But I see how it could have been misinterpreted.

  • I hope you will grow a brain some day you poor moron :).

  • It was aimed at a spammer posting Nazi stuff. I am very sorry it was taken the wrong way. 'TruthIsAntiSemitic' shows up on every video related to Schindler's List and posts unbelievably hateful trash.

  • i agree with you friend. i really don't know what else to say but god be with you. Strange since i am generally not a religious person. but burn in hell anyone who denies the holocaust.

  • this is really good. but i feel that his vibrato's a bit tight.

  • amazingly beautiful song, like wow, it brought me to tears.

  • Oh my god this is so gr8 !!! hats off Daniel hope !!

  • I am not a musician and not have gained a lot experience, but i am surprised of this theme, it is awesome.

  • what a pointless comparison.....there is no way of really comparing two musicians, especially at that quality.

  • Itzhak Perlman plays two eternities better than Hope, even though Itzhak plays faster he produces a more passionate feeling.. :)

  • WOW! What a sound. What passion!
