Recently US military purchased Russian combat helicopters for operations in Iraque and Afganistan. I asked a friend of mine in the headquartes why did they do that?
He said Russian helos are much more easier to control and they are much more reliable in such climate
It was first invented for throwing grenades and other devices and later was transformed into a usual crossbows. Approximately 5000 units were produced by a provate enterprise based on Tula armory (Russia) in big and small versions.
All strelets seem to make now is toy soldiers!
