Well I was really trying it to feel what it would be like, scince I've always used one that is on the side. But for me there really wasn't much of a difference, scince I put my chin on the center of the rest regardless. But I ended up going back to the side chin rest because It looks a little better on my violin.

Very impressive! I'm sure you've been asked a lot, but did you find actual sheet music for the lyrical part for the violin, or did you place it all by ear? Or did you adapt it from a different instrument's sheet music? I'd love to know, as I can't do it by ear, but would really love to learn to play this :) I can play it on my guitar, but would just -love- to play the lyrical portion on my violin :D

That was amazing! The only tiny complaint I've got is the midi sometimes covers up the beautiful violin. If you could find a recording of the guitar as an actual guitar and do it again, it'd be awesome.
