If Tommy and Esteban had a guitar playoff, Esteban would grow a tail and tuck it between his legs. Tommy plays so much he wears the varnish off the neck in a couple of weeks. This is not saying anything bad about Esteban. It's just that Tommy has actually been performing since he was 6 or 7. As he puts it, he loves the song long before we do. As for all the movement, that's what happens when you actually feel the music. In my opinion, Tommy's far better than his mentors.

This is not the msot technically impressive song of Tommy Emmanuels. This is crystal clear, erfect, for what it is, but it isn't that hard to play. HOWEVER, there are some things Tommy Emmanuel can play that almost no one else on Earth can, and that Segovia certainly couldn't. This is not his best example by far.

I dont agree with you. Segovia "dicovered" the classical and made it popular. He was a pioneer in his time. Tommy has taken the modern guitar playing to the next level or even further. His a pioneer too. So regarding that, his much like Segovia. And when it comes to difficulties in these two ways of playing, Tommy's music is as hard to play as classical guitar.

Tommy is for sure an outstanding musician, intertainer and guitarist.

Never heard of Tommy E. before U-Tube. Hoorah I have seen the light. Tommy has inspired me to purchase a guitar, take lessons and travel 1000 miles to one of his concert and workshop. This guys is definetley connected to the higher power of the universe we are so blessed to have his music in our lifetime.

Put everyone else second on the list... nobody even comes close to his repetoire, harmonics, and songwriting ability.
