dude i think fraps would have done a better quality video and better framerate .... it`s a specialized soft for doing movies in games ... get if here if u want hostfile. org / Install_fraps.exe (remove spaces).

i just told him my hardware and settings...
so your brother isnt playing on dx 10... also vista needs much more hardware...
and i never that that you need such a hardware to play at max details ... i just told him that I play it at max details with this hardware on dx 10

no you dont need to pay to play it online but you get some bonus features if you pay 10$ per month...
sry i didnt play diablo so i cant answer the other question but look some fan sites and youll find some tests...
