sorry guys. i didn't mean to say the pink panther theme sucked, i just thought the song was a little harder for me to associate with safe crackers than with the pink panther! no intention to step on toes.
They used to have the blue signs to name the company logos of the prizes, then they took them off after 1986 or 1987. Now they have the graphics on TV to display the company logos now.
Is this the first playing of SC with the updated and more familiar board? and when did they change the creaking sound '89?

5 or 6 years after this version of TPIR got canned, this think music which you are hearing would be used in the daytime version for this game.

The pink panther theme only aired in the CBS daytime version, not in the syndicated version. Some sort of licensing issue.

A glimps of the camera in the mirror. That wasn't supposed to happen in 1986. Notice how quickly they cut to a close up of the contestant!

Was this intro to Safe Crackers heard on Tom Kennedy's version a part of Score Productions?

Was this a GSN edit due to rights issues or how it aired originally?

It would have to be how it aired originally, because GSN never goes to that kind of trouble.
