@TheYoungTurds1 Les Claypool, Buckethead, Zappa plays Zappa, Lydia Lunch, The Residents, etc etc etc. All is flux man. Just because Pink Floyd aint together no more, don't mean that there aren't other people to appreciate.
@BobbyfromPepper yes his father was killed in war ,his mother over protected him ,made "WALLS" so high ????/but if that had not of happend we wouldnt have this music ,,,,its a cruel twist of fate ,,like syd barrat leaving +gilmour joining floyd ?crossroads of fate ,where thet took the right turning ,,like robert johnson etc etc +the rest of us all ,,,...
we,ve all hailed the man with the strat, but when did you last listen to division bell or delicate sound of thunder.the man with the pencil and notepad really deserves better call yourself a fan go listen to paranoid eyes or any from the final cut
Derby, you don't even have a clue what your talking about, why come and listen to his stuff, to slate him?! Go visit George Micheal's site or summit, you cock.
Im sorry this comment is a bit late, i understand where you are coming from but i do know what im talking about or i wouldnt say anything. How can you not call him a prick when he spits in his fans faces as concerts. I did say he has an amazing voice. Just think about what you are saying.
Personally i can´t understand how a person could think Beatles better than Bob Dylan or better than Bruce Springsteen, but i respect all kinds of opinions. Thats you need to exercise, you and the other guys in your country, otherwise, the third world war will start.
This is certainlly a great album. I saw Pink Floyd in concert back in 1994 at both Yankee Stadium and Giant Stadium, It's sad they choose to not make any more albums after Division Bell.
Thank you for your comment. And I totally agree, this is an excellent album. This song is one of my all time favourites because of the high amount of emotion in the lyrics and the music.
@Lebofilms Actually, I am very glad the chose not to make any more albums They were ruining their reputaion without Waters. For me, the Final Cut is last Pink Floyd album.
This song has been released in 1982 on a 45RPM with an interesting cover which has movie pics inside. Songs; when the tigers broke free/bring the boys back home.
i agree with all of the comments saying that this is a great song and great album. i love pink floyd and I'm only 14, but I have been into pink floyd, led zeppelin, metallica, motorhead etc.
hell yea . im 14 myself and im into the classics too . pink floyd is my fav and led zeppelins prlly pretty close too . lol, kno what i mean . but yea they kick ass .
Actually it was written for the album The Wall, rejected. Used in the movie. It was not included i nthe original release of the Final Cut. It was added to a re-release version of the Final Cut.
I thought the songs added to the movie not included on the album where amazing songs. This songs send chills.
I have this on 45 vinyl also. Obtained it at the world premier of the movie in Phoenix AZ.They gave them out at the door, I have 2 of them, lucky me.. lol

Waters is a prick but as much as he is, he is still a vital part of Pink Floyd. And what a voice too
DerbyDamon93 2 years ago
Of course i respect your opinion but i disagree completly. Waters is a fake musician instead of David Gilmour, he is the best of all time.
llucardi 2 years ago
Well i cant argue with you but personally its his voice which sends shivers down my spine.

ya it does send chills...isnt The Wall based on ww1?
spitfire690 3 years ago
No, it was WWII. Roger was writing about his father's real death in WWII, and The Wall is about concepts that where close to that generation.
Think about it, children born born in the late 30's in England first memories is of the bombing raids and having to go into the tunnels.
And during the "peaceful 50's" they where taught by men with post traumatic stress, and no one knew what that was.
But it spawned a whole lot of great music from these children when they grew up.
painekiller727 3 years ago 4
yeah you're right...so i guess his father died in the anzio battle? by a tiger I divion...
