  • like this if your're covered in goosebumps

  • DAMN good song

  • Moment of scilence for all those lost in WWII

  • To this day, I believe this is the most powerful and personal work the band ever created.

  • its sad that all we have now is Lady Gaga and Justin Beiber. Stuff like this will never come around again...

  • @TheYoungTurds1 Les Claypool, Buckethead, Zappa plays Zappa, Lydia Lunch, The Residents, etc etc etc. All is flux man. Just because Pink Floyd aint together no more, don't mean that there aren't other people to appreciate.

  • Does anyone know if the orchestra version with the sound of the tank treads at the start is on you tube. Thanks

  • great band

  • Waters is just so awesome.

  • Is this what really happened to Waters' father?

  • @BobbyfromPepper yes his father was killed in war ,his mother over protected him ,made "WALLS" so high ????/but if that had not of happend we wouldnt have this music ,,,,its a cruel twist of fate ,,like syd barrat leaving +gilmour joining floyd ?crossroads of fate ,where thet took the right turning ,,like robert johnson etc etc +the rest of us all ,,,...

  • @BobbyfromPepper yes. Thoguh the Wall is somewhat based on Sid Barrets life.

  • Its the way it ends that makes the song.

  • we,ve all hailed the man with the strat, but when did you last listen to division bell or delicate sound of thunder.the man with the pencil and notepad really deserves better call yourself a fan go listen to paranoid eyes or any from the final cut

  • The ONLY song that still gives me this chill after 10 years, when I first listened to it.

  • I agree with zailagrant195.PINK FLOYD THE BEST

  • you should all shut up!! Pink Floyd rules!! love these song!!

  • Derby, you don't even have a clue what your talking about, why come and listen to his stuff, to slate him?! Go visit George Micheal's site or summit, you cock.

  • Im sorry this comment is a bit late, i understand where you are coming from but i do know what im talking about or i wouldnt say anything. How can you not call him a prick when he spits in his fans faces as concerts. I did say he has an amazing voice. Just think about what you are saying.

  • One of the few songs that will make the hair of my neck stand up everytime I hear it.

  • do not like waters....prefer gilmour. He´s more surreal and profetic.

  • dam right he is

  • Yeah but waters voice is fucking unreal, especially in hey you that makes me shiver lol

  • i agree thankyou x

  • Waters is a prick but as much as he is, he is still a vital part of Pink Floyd. And what a voice too

  • Of course i respect your opinion but i disagree completly. Waters is a fake musician instead of David Gilmour, he is the best of all time.

  • Well i cant argue with you but personally its his voice which sends shivers down my spine.

  • Personally i can´t understand how a person could think Beatles better than Bob Dylan or better than Bruce Springsteen, but i respect all kinds of opinions. Thats you need to exercise, you and the other guys in your country, otherwise, the third world war will start.

  • This is certainlly a great album. I saw Pink Floyd in concert back in 1994 at both Yankee Stadium and Giant Stadium, It's sad they choose to not make any more albums after Division Bell.

  • Thank you for your comment. And I totally agree, this is an excellent album. This song is one of my all time favourites because of the high amount of emotion in the lyrics and the music.

  • @Lebofilms Actually, I am very glad the chose not to make any more albums They were ruining their reputaion without Waters. For me, the Final Cut is last Pink Floyd album.

  • it is on the wall . it doesnt play the whole thing though .

  • Hey, this is not from the wall, it is from the final cut. Practically a solo album by Rodger Waters just before pink floyd spilt.

  • in the bagin of the movie.. weht rogers father clean up the gun,,, listen and just play a few 45 secs or some

  • This song has been released in 1982 on a 45RPM with an interesting cover which has movie pics inside. Songs; when the tigers broke free/bring the boys back home.

  • i heard that song many times on the bearing sea. good song...

  • i agree with all of the comments saying that this is a great song and great album. i love pink floyd and I'm only 14, but I have been into pink floyd, led zeppelin, metallica, motorhead etc.

  • hell yea . im 14 myself and im into the classics too . pink floyd is my fav and led zeppelins prlly pretty close too . lol, kno what i mean . but yea they kick ass .

  • i start hear floyd at the same age!

    p flolyd rocks!

  • @05faber there is no one on earth who has listened to this album and not thought it was good

  • if ya like war songs try 'green fields of france' i like the dropkick murphys version

  • awesome song...sometimes it makes me fill up.....and it is in the wall the movie but not on the OST....

  • this isn't from The Wall, it's from Final Cut, which is an excellent album about WW2...

  • Actually it was written for the album The Wall, rejected. Used in the movie. It was not included i nthe original release of the Final Cut. It was added to a re-release version of the Final Cut.

I thought the songs added to the movie not included on the album where amazing songs. This songs send chills.

  • ya it does send chills...isnt The Wall based on ww1?

  • No, it was WWII. Roger was writing about his father's real death in WWII, and The Wall is about concepts that where close to that generation.

Think about it, children born born in the late 30's in England first memories is of the bombing raids and having to go into the tunnels.

And during the "peaceful 50's" they where taught by men with post traumatic stress, and no one knew what that was.

But it spawned a whole lot of great music from these children when they grew up.

  • yeah you're right...so i guess his father died in the anzio battle? by a tiger I divion...

  • Not everybody who goes to war gets PSTD. You who has it more? Civilians who have been to jail. Constant survival mode.

  • one of the best songs ever written about wwII, no question.

  • Waters voice sends chills down my spine.

    "DYING....DYING!"

  • truly moving. a great song.

  • i have this 45 vinyl

does anybody know if it is worth anything?

  • I'm not sure if it is worth anything, but if its in good condition ill buy it.

  • I have this on 45 vinyl also. Obtained it at the world premier of the movie in Phoenix AZ.They gave them out at the door, I have 2 of them, lucky me.. lol

  • thanks dude this awsome
