  • ty

  • your awesome. i can update my website and stuff!

  • I just need basic remote log in from a home PC to a work PC- for the entire office. Can I just set everyone up with LogMeIn Free?

  • @mattdj313 LogMeIn Free is only free for personal (not commercial) use. Using it in the way you mentioned is actually a violation of the licensing agreement. Anything work related requires a LogMeIn Pro license.

  • @PCMichiana - That's what I figured. Thanks

  • So even with the free version I can access my computer at home from anywhere?

  • @SkunknOwl Yes, for personal use they allow you to use LogMeIn free edition at no cost.

  • After the pro account, you can continue using the free logmein.

  • I installed this, but if I look at the Detailed Mode it says I have 29 or 30 days remaining in my trial period? I don't think I installed the Pro Version (I assume I would have to pay or know if that were the case) - Maybe this is some ploy to get me to buy?

  • @Cullengainer01 I just went back to the site, you have to make sure you sign up for the free edition. You may be able to downgrade your Pro to Free, I haven't done this before, let me know what you find.

  • how do i get the computer access code?

  • @blind2eye Please post this in the technical support area of the community forum at the website - that way everyone can learn from it. You can get there by clicking "forum" at my Channel

  • Can't wait to use it on my iPad

  • Where you get your backgrounds ?

  • Google image search mostly - I have the backgrounds available at my website. You can click the Desktop Backgrounds category on the navigation pane.

  • Ok thanx man!

  • Are you only required to install the software on the computer that you want to connect to? or do you have to install the software on both computers?. Looked like only one.

Can the software be installed on a mac? and can you connect from XP to Mac?.

  • Hey, PCMichiana. Great demo of LogMeIn Free. Can we look forward to seeing some more demos and videocasts of LogMeIn products in the future? Have you tried LogMeIn Central yet?

    Sincerely,

    LogMeIn USA

  • I don't feel this is good for anything, downloading that file so that you can connect to your computer from anywhere also can make it easier for hackers to get into your computer. so I will pass on this

  • Jazz, I'm glad you brought this up. The security is proportional to the e-mail password and remote computer access keys (double tiered password protection). Also, it includes extremely good encryption while connected so others can't see you or what you are doing.

This company targets businesses so they couldn't possibly stay in business unless it was secure. One should always be concerned with security so I'm glad you brought this up.

  • maybe the password is set up so no one can see, but people create things like everyday so they can encrypt and get info.. I typicalling don't have nothing that important..

anyways on my computer I have created a monster from scratch...

  • Excellent suggestion, teamviewer is also a great piece of software. However, for beginner users the interface is less intuitive. Also, it is more targeted towards collaborative computing than remote controlling your own PC. Excellent addition to this post! Thanks!

  • Or you can use teamviewer... Ten Time Better And its free :D
