  • Dec1959 all embassies leave havana as fighting grows intense Dec.30/59 Batista govt goes into exile Jan 1 1960 Fidel Castro Che Guevara & the Freedom fighters arrive in Havana

  • How did you make this animation?

  • I love the anthem, really dislike the video. Put the real patriots of cuba. los mambises and the people who have stood up to castro's dictatorship.

  • There are a lot of confused people out here. In the US busting your ass off gets you what you work for, in Cuba you can bust your ass off all day and still have a kid crying at home with no food. I was 6 when I left. I was 5 when I got a toy for Chrismas, I lost it when walking down the street. It was a toy knife. To this day I remember that day perfectly and I would never want my child to suffer that way. El Himno Nacional de cuba has nothing to do with castro or his "revolution".

  • @TienLungTaoist All those who love castro so much, how can a virtuous man kill people in cold blood for no reason other than to prove a point or to make his zero tolerance for people speaking their minds. If you have not lived the life of a cuban and have gone through the hardships that we have gone through you cannot realistically speak on the matter. If you have lived in this situation and still love castro.... take your head out of you ass! And ask yourself whats right.

  • @TienLungTaoist Damn youtube really has to up the word count on their comments. back to my point. Communism this capitalism that. Nothing works because of greed. I understand that all governments are flawed because of corruption but hell I like to be able to have a farm, grow my cows, chickens, and have a truck that I have worked hard for all to my name, and be able to bring food for my children. Reward for the sweat off my back. Dont get that with castro.

  • Marches Marches MARCHES MARCHES Hello Hello HELLO ANYONE PEOPLES

  • Undeniably, one of the best national anthems.

  • Why did that farmer changing look like Victor Charlie?

  • @AnswerManofRome I would live in a country where 10 men walk barefoot but 1 man can drive a car than a country where all men walk barefoot.

  • You know I have always found it very funny that idealistic and ignorant teenagers living in America, Canada or wherever constantly praise communism and other non-mainstream ideologies, but if you talk any Cuban immigrant living in America or Canada, they will tell you how much it is better here than there.

  • Viva Cuba! Par Canada ma frerres!!!!

  • capitalism is working our great for somalia

  • God bless cuba and its people!

    red greetings

  • LUCHAMOS POR UN MUNDO NUEVO, LUCHAMOS POR LA VERDAD, PERO NO CON CASTRO

  • beautiful anthem, one of the best

  • @TheABAJOFIDEL And money has much less value in a communist soceity. The people of cuba now just about 100% have been educated (or whatever you would call learning how to read and write) as well as health care. Health is the fruit of life, not money.

  • @TheABAJOFIDEL I do not know how Fidel and his top official and such live. I do not know exactly how much socially divided cuba is now. But I do know that the revolution has given cuba the ability to advance as a society positively. They are one of the most literate countries in the world and recently Hugo Chavez chose to go to Cuba for his Chemotherapy. They are still a third world country recovering from the crippling spanish political structure that has crippled all of Latin America.

  • Nice, but Cubans would not salute the red flag. The revolution of 1959 was nationalist and did not replaced the Cuban flag with a red banner. Don't think that the Castro bureaucracy would use the red flag over their own national flag.

The Cuban flag is holy to the Castro bureaucracy and it is far more used then the workers red flag. When the Cuban anthem is played it is not the red flag they would salute.

  • from spanish times up to now, Comradeship of The Philippines and Cuba still lives with the help of americans during Spanish - American war

  • @ensiform capitalism and big hearted don't go together greed is a synonym for captalism by the loss of the poor one can gain wealth. This is a waste of life so one can live in luxury. In the words of my hero Castro. Why should 10 men walk barefoot so 1 man can drive a car. As it was before the wonderful revolution.

  • @AnswerManofRome Oh please, have you ever been to Cuba? What makes Castro any better than Batista?

  • @Preserbius Castro prepared cuba to rise from its dark history of subjugation and oppression. Batista was not for the cuban people. He was a puppet for the united states like Mubarak. Someone the US can snuggle up to and give them all that they want in return of protection and prosperity. While the common cuban people lived in poverty and shackles. With Castros revolution the capitalist bastards that theiving the cuban people's wealth were removed.

  • @AnswerManofRome My point was that Cuba isn't any better off with Castro (or Raul) than they they were with Batista.

  • @Preserbius People who were brainwashed into believing communism is bad naturally resist and deny. I hate social and economic hierarchy, therefore due to Castro's amazing revolution this was "mostly" removed from the Island enough to let the poor people have freedoms instead of being shackled to the farms. It can be debated that cuba has one of the best education programs in the world. With one of the least students per classroom, most teachers per capita, lowest illiteracy, 99% retention rate.

  • @AnswerManofRome Thanks to Castro's "amazing" revolution my grandfather was forced to live in a prison camp for three years just so he could take his family out of the s***hole Castro turned the country into. We almost got out of it in 2006 but the son of a bitch won't die.

  • @Preserbius So you have your own personal grudges in which you are unable to control and it transfers into anger toward the person who you have been told caused these/this problems. Now your just an angry bastard who has reverted to name calling. Perhaps your grandfather was a wealthy cuban elite in the government? A foreign business owner? Because he most certainly was not suffering like much of the population. If you could give a reason for your grandfathers imprisonment it would help clarify.

  • @AnswerManofRome There was a lot of imprisonments for people speaking in public for what they believed, hell there where people who were shot. Che guevara killed a starving man because he stole a can of condensed milk. is that reason to kill a man. there you have a reason for punishment but was death the correct one or is there even a correct punishment for a starving man who eats a can of condensed milk. its not about government its about basic human morals.

  • @TienLungTaoist If people are doing things that undermine someone trying to make their own attempt and helping a population then yes no matter what they are criminals. Freedoms are not always necessary when they undermine the greater good. Like Obama has no power for his bills can't pass the republicans stranglehold. If they weren't there he could actually have the ability to make changes. The starving man committed a crime, and was made an example. I would have done different but all the same.

  • @AnswerManofRome My grandfather was not rich. He worked his way up from mopping floors in a car factory to managing it, and he worked his ass off for everything he had until Castro took it all away. And the reason for his imprisonment was wanting to leave. If your implying he was some sort of criminal then I just lost alot of respect for you. Maybe you should slow down and think about why muchh of population was (and is) suffering.

  • @Preserbius I did not imply anything. Let us brainstorm why they try to keep people in the country. Perhaps he was a valuable person in the society. If all the doctors try to leave then the country is screwed. Perhaps people can understand that they can make a sacrifice for the greater good. That is the reason so children don't die within the first 2 years of their lives. Mopping floors was an honor. Who owned cars? rich fuckers. who walked barefoot? the poor. Rich is subjective but he upperclas

  • @AnswerManofRome Castro shouldn't have had to try and keep him from leaving in the first place. He wouldn't have wanted to leave if he had the country was well run. The average salary in Cuba is the equivelent of $4,500 a year. Is that the kind of place you would want to raise a family?

  • @Preserbius When you piss off a bunch of people they try to escape the situation. But the only people he pissed off were the rich bastards who wanted to keep the natives poor and keep getting their "slave" labor.

The average salary doesn't matter. As long as they are healthy, educated, and progressing. All of which are provided by the government, of no cost. They aren't going to be as prosperous as an american middle class but that doesn't mean they have to be equal to dirt under capitalism.

  • @AnswerManofRome You kep obsessing about rich bastards, but how is someone a bastard just because their rich? If they work their way up the business ladder with hard work and determination are they a bastard because others don't work as hard? Not every rich person is an opressive monster.

  • @Preserbius Hard work doesn't get you to a high position. Lets look at a prime subject of social and economic hierarchy. Latin America who are the poor people? The black children of slaves and the natives. Who are the rich? The White settlers. Since 1492 the cross and the sword shackled the People who were placed under the Spanish. Nothing has changed. Those bastards haven't work harder then their whips could snap. Yes rich people are monsters who get there through capitalism.

  • @AnswerManofRome Oh yes, because with Capitalism there few rich people and many poor people. So Castro in his almighty heroism overthrew the evildoers and now, everyone gets to be as poor as they want!

  • @Preserbius Is this not what started this conversation? Castro removed the good dog puppet leaders to foreign powers and put his own people in power. Now they don't die from 3rd world diseases. They aren't out of the rough yet but they are making their way as a whole not just a few being carried by the rest on golden chariots. And yes in Capitalism the many suffer under the few. Why do you think people are occupying wall street and all that. Im sorry I value human life over money and leisure.

  • @AnswerManofRome It wasn't Capitaism that made Cuba under Batista hell, it was Batista. It doesn't matter what Political or Economic System a Country has if the Person in charge is an unfit ruler. There have been great Dictators and there have been terrible Presidents.

  • @Preserbius You are right that the leader has a great impact on the society as a whole. Because they get to choose the system. Batista wasn't quite in power though. He was a puppet. The bitch native that sucks off the americans so he can keep his money. The 2 causes of cuba's suffering at that time were the foreign control and the capitalist system of control. The American big business leaders didn't give a shit about them. And their own leaders didn't either. Castro was opposite. Twas Justice.

  • @AnswerManofRome I've agreed with you from the beginning that Batista was an awful leader an a puppet of the American Military, but just as the severe Economic Crisis in Germany after the Treaty of Versailles allowed Hitler to gain a popular following, Castro's rise to power was backed entirely by hetred of the American controlled regime of Batista, and not logic or political common sense.

  • @Preserbius He hasn't had any problems since the missile crisis. And that didn't have anything to do with him. Hitler can be compared Castro I suppose but I don't see why the people would. Europe is very different from the New World. Also Castro wasn't genocidal It helps that they are adding capitalist changes, but with that comes greed. and only decline in worker living conditions. and they aren't large enough to move their sweatshops over seas like the US. Lastly there is no set common sense.

  • @AnswerManofRome Communism doesn't work in Cuba because there isn't enough wealth to be spread around. It works in China because China's economy has strong Capitalist elements of freedom mixed with strict communist regulation. China's economy is also one of the fastest growing in the world, wile Cuba's isn't even close.

  • @Preserbius Communism is for better living conditions of the oppressed. China is trying. With industrialization comes better living conditions. But they are failing at regulating. Their people are enslaved in sweatshops for American Businesses. Hopefully this will end soon. Money is evil and only causes suffering. You speak of economy as a measure of a country's success but I only see the oppression needed to make that success. Cuba has improved their lives. China has bolstered a few pockets.

  • @AnswerManofRome Perhaps my previous statement failed to express my opinion of economy and how it relates to success. Especially after the recent economic collapse in america and the forthcoming one in Europe, I am beginning to question the reasons behind our incredibly complex global economy. However there is virtually no possibility of Every country in the world agreeing to adapt a new economic structure, so we seem to be stuck where we are. (continued ->)

  • @AnswerManofRome I also did not mean to suggest that economic standing is the only way to measure a country's success, but it is most certainly one of the mosttt important. Would you rather be a poor person in China or a poor person in Greece?

  • @Preserbius Well first off you seem to be knowledgable enough to take on a group I have been following. It is call "The Zeitgeist Movement" It is a group of educated individuals around the world working on a resource based economy and as far as I can see the future of the world after all these disgusting greed based economies fall. I have listened to a smart man say I greed is good. It provides drive otherwise we would do nothing but too much greed is poisonous to the person and the system(cont)

  • @Preserbius (cont.) I suggest that you take a look at it and if you are inclined to learn more watch one the movies. (I watched "Zeitgeist:Moving Forward" on Youtube) Not to our conversation... Based on the state benefits I would say which country has better poor conditions. Cuba has free healthcare, education, land, and tons. But when a government isn't involved the rich can tie the poor to the land (ex. Feudalism, sharecropping) basic features of capitalism. Make a buck off cheap labor.

  • @AnswerManofRome Thanks, I always love a good debate :P

  • @Preserbius As do I. Conducted in a rather civil manner. :) If only we could teach America how to reason then maybe they can debate too! Based on our presidential choices I am leaving America as soon as fucking possible. But I think we have finished our Cuban debate so I hope you can carry what I have said and think about it and what is the most important thing on the earth. (Hint: Human Life) :P Good day sir. *¡Viva la revelucion!*

  • QUE VIVA LA REVOLUCION!

  • @drnachos its REVOLUCION

  • RESPECT FROM ITALY !

  • :(.... One worst communist national anthem i have ever heard. I mean there are more better communist national anthem than that now! Look at nroth Korea and China and former Soviet Russia!

  • @sarge6925 I actually like it. But that's beacause I'va also heard the instrumental one, wich is much better.

  • @sarge6925 It's not a communist anthem. This is the anthem of Cuba since before the 1959 revolution.

  • To all who say that Communism corrupted something, check your sources, because the only time I have seen a real Communism was under Lenin, straight out of "the Manifesto".Communism never corrupted anything, its the leaders who corrupt Communism.(Stalin and after,Old Fidel,Old Mao etc)

  • commies

  • @neosheep91 graciaas

  • Dirty island monkeys fob

  • Yeah Communism is so great thats why cubas people live like shit because how easily corrupt communism is.

  • @SnipersScope55 Shut the fuck up, you don t even have a real health care system in the U.S.A. either a good economie and Jobs. You just have fat people, coca cola, mc donalds, rascists and 2 fucking wars against terrorist, which you re going to lose.

so repare your state before criticing an other

    best communiscm wishes

  • @waldbube To give an opinion you have to live there, I am in total disagreement with your opinion about Cuba, i lived there for 14 years , and my rights as a human being were violated so many times , and i was abused psychologically by the government, I still have some psychological trauma

  • @s1138498 Do you really think it would be better, when socialism there would be band?

Then there would be instead of the party of communism, American and European enterprises, which abuse the econominal crises of Cuba for their own profit and the Citizens wouldn t become anything. Perhaps, some would be richer but the others wouldn t have money to go to school and health care.

I would like to know what kind of psychologically abuse you had, and what standard of live you have.

  • @waldbube yeah it true i am ashamed to live in this shithole called usa im moving to russia some day

  • @ComradeCody Russia isn t better now, look at Putin and his marionet medwedew, he looks only for the interests of the rich people and of himself. His politics are even more capitalism as some western. Socialism in russia has been killed, and that much longer befor 1989.

But we have the chance to reanimet socialism and fight all these capitalists in our own land. Like Marx said, the revolution begins in the own nation and then over come the world.

  • @waldbube I don't think so.

  • @ComradeCody Dedicated to Cuba and all Spanish speaking comrades.

Can you dedicate it to portuguese speaking comrades too?

  • @cassiavc i cannot comrade but try asking my buddy alternatehistorypt he speaks portuguese

  • @SnipersScope55

Right, first : Cuba isn't communist, it's socialist.

Second : Though there is some corruption (like in just about every Caribbean island), the reason people there are poor (not living like shit), is mostly because of the US's embargo set on them in the cold war, resulting in BILLIONS of dollars lost for Cuba, especially after the fall of the USSR, it's main trading partner.

  • @PutNameHere15 Cuba isn't Socialist at all, it's Communist - and Communism unfortunately never works. It starts off good... but the country quickly becomes corrupted.

I wish Cuba really WAS socialist.

  • @Udany147 Well Cuba is already corrupted lol

Communism corrupts most governments because it gives them way too much power, and power corrupts.

  • @PutNameHere15 Of course they have nothing to say. That's why they have some other parties other then the communist one in thier parlement. (-,-')

  • cuba, chinese salutes you n_n

  • what program did you use to do this movie ?

  • viva cuba may your people live cto beat the USA with its sanctions. the people of the USA are NOT against you

  • Proud to be cuban-german! :DDDD

  • Now if only we can get rid of Fidel...

  • @PutNameHere15 huh? Didn't you hear that his brother Raul has been ruler of Cuba since 2006? Now he is just a figure head doing speechs every once in blue moon to prove he ain't dead.

  • @YoungOldWomen lol I meant like the castros and every other old bastard that thinks fidel and raul and w/e are good leaders.

    Basically revolution #2 :P

  • cuba the best, from iraq

  • Litlle marching olive drabbed kids carrying flags. These are like the cartoons they use in Cuba to indoctrinate Marxist crap into children's heads.

    Cuba algun dia sera libre!

  • nice

  • muere Fidel! muere socialismo!

  • To live in chains is to live?! :S That sounds like "1984" reversed themes like "War is peace, slavery is freedom etc" :/ Socialism should be about freedom and prosper to everybody, not slavery and pain for everybody :/

  • @Stravinsky91 You missed the last half of the sentence: "To live in chains, is to live in dishonor and shame."

  • @yelocab01 oh! I'm an idiot XP

  • You are all so horribly mistaken about Cuba, it is proof that totalitarian communist regimes that have no human rights are the worst form of government ever. The Cuban people are starving, thieving to survive and after 50 years of dictatorship are fed up, or un-fed, and the revolution has been a total abysmal failure. Refusing to see the evidence is no excuse.

  • That was... quick. Great vid, though.

  • Cuban brothers!!!! Russia loves Cuba!

  • @andrey1022b as a Cuban, i am honored to read this.

  • RESPECT TO CUBA!!!!! (Im Russian)

  • Viva Cuba!!!

  • VIVA EL CHE GUEVARA

  • @HumbertoMacias Que se valla para la pin--

  • @HumbertoMacias hold on castro killed che

  • You have to remember, there's some Americans fighting for the same thing you are. I'm an American that wants total freedom, and supports communism. I hope we can all live to be free as such, because the American regime is ruining our world. So, not all Americans are capitalist pigs or greedy.

  • @nitchu "wants total freedom" "supports communism"

That's a huge contradiction right there.

  • The cuban anthem was writed in the XIX century, never was a communist anthem. It was an anthem dedicated to the freedom of Cuba, and the word communist is the antonym of freedom for me and each cuban. You're an ignorant, you don't know anything about Cuban History

  • if it weren't for the Americans being greedy fascist imperialists then Cuba would be alot better off... funny how most of the bad things that happen can be traced back to America...

  • Y dice "DIOS PATRIA Y LIBERTAD!!
