Greyhounds - Please consider homing

There has been a disconcerted campaign here to stop greyhound racing;but it's what happens afterwards when the poor dog has outlived its 'usefulness' that i find repulsive and disturbing.Racing is a huge industry;people make millions from this'sport;;and i don't agree with a sport where animals are abused to satisfy human greed.I'm so glad these two beautiful dogs have found a loving home:but there are so many others who are not so fortunate.you can see it in their eyes.What man does to animals

should be a stain on their conscience;but I don't know where their conscience is.

This is such a nice vid, I would love to get a greyhound but i'm not allowed :( I will definatley adopt one in future though.They are gorgeous, my uncle used to have a brindle female she was lovely. People really should open there eyes and see what beautiful creatures they really are.

Absolutely heartwarming! Thank you for rescuing these two angels, and for speaking out against the brutally cruel dog racing industry. It really needs to abolished, along with horseracing and all other forms of exploitation

Loved the video. Great music, it got me all choked up. We adopted a black retired racing greyhound (with a white tuxedo) last year. We love him so much, he is so happy and loving. Best decision I ever made. I wish I could help them all.

In Spain we don't have now greyhounds races, but we sill have HUNTING, and to hang galgos is an usual practice. Congratulatins for your dogs, enhoy a lot wuth them !!

It's difficult to say which one is worse, but I can say we have sent galgos to USA and Europe, but we don't receive bad treated dogs. Of course you are a big country, and you have the best and the worse.

This video is beautiful. They are such graceful dogs and it is a shame they are used only for profit in races.

I've actually wanted to own a Greyhound for a long time now, but I'm worried about how they would be around our cats or if we ever get any other sort of animal. Since they are a sight hound I'm not sure if it would be best to have them around other smaller animals.

I know a person living in the house together with 7 deerhounds, 2 azawakhs, 1 doberman, 1 doberman-mix, 2 papillons and 5 cats - don't worry too much about your cats ;)

The fate of retired greyhounds is grim, typically sold into a life of human cardiac transplant research where they endure years of more horrific pain and confinement.

Others are euthanized and sold to rendering plants where their bodies are ground up and processed into "protein meal" in pet food.

Today, Michigan State University is using shelter dogs from their local pound to conduct horrific trauma training studies that are already being done on non-animal simulators at hundreds of other medical universities!

Selling animals to experimentation is BIG BUSINESS.

Oh my gosh! That's beyond horrible! How can we humans treat such a beautiful creature like that? It's beyond sad that some of God's beautiful creatures have to endure so much pain & suffering for our own good. I am thankful there are those who give these beautiful dogs a chance to live a happy, meaningful life. Those people have my respect.

This is such a wonderful video speaking up for greyhounds and galgos, I'm sitting here with my daughter watching it and we think it highlights the situation of unwanted greyhounds (after racing) superbly, and it also shows what fantastic companions they make for families.
