@Sweetqt101 There are two different countries in the Caribbean. The Dominican Republic a.k.a "Spanish Dominica" (located next to Haiti.) and then The Commonwealth of Dominica (a.k.a. "French Dominica") located mid-way down the eastern Caribbean chain. Both have the same Demonym "Dominican". They add stress on the word differently though.

@bxchecka The New York Police always have helicopters since it is a large crowd of over a million people... They want to watch for terrorists and so on. When you're on the parade route look at every intersection, they have like snipers waiting on the roof tops as well.
@DigitalIslandboy i went to electric zoo instead it was bumpin.......but yo by the time they catch any terrorist or rowdyness theyll have to come down from their high places wit all the smoke in the air
@bxchecka But it is Brooklyn, New York. Ofcourse the police are going to make provisions to make sure terrorists don't target the largest parade in the United States. I've seen those police respond to situations along the route and they spring into action from all the side-streets plus they have some on horseback that can get down Eastern Parkway with breakneck speed. New York even brings in police from New Jersey and all. Read the vests and you'll see.

I live in st vincent and the grenadines and have been to carnival (the hottest of the caribbean btw - go skinny fab) and you should appreciate that others are interested in culture... your culture if you are indeed west indian.
