When she was ousted (having never lost a general election) 11.5 years later, Britain had surpassed both France and Italy economically, and was by far the strongest nation in Europe. Shame all that was squandered by Blair and Brown.

All you socialists talk about how the North of England or unemployment...the North went to shit because the industries have become unsustainable and therefore had to be put out. Despite this, employment rose; those who sowed, reaped. There was no problem with people who were perfectly capable to work claiming benefits. The Labour party still clings on the ideas and policies Lady Thatcher and once they deviated, the country became 4 trillion pounds in debt.

if you had lived through it you would know. hayekism is also behind the credit crunch. the uk changed from an all for one and one for all society where you could leave your door and car unlocked and turned into a dog eat dog world. On the battlefield the code is you do not leave your wounded mates. This was extended to society. Under thatcherism code you do. i can understand why many today in this fractured society don't understand.
