I remember seeing this documentary. We didn't have a vcr at the time and I took a cassette tape recorder and held it up to the tv and taped these songs. For years I would listen to this and wonder who the group was. Just the other day I was listening to it again and still wondering who the group was. Now I can rest easy. I have found them. Thanks for the post. I absolutely love these songs. They are singing with such conviction and it's only a rehearsal. Inspiration for my group.
The second song's lead singer was my neighbor. Mr. Doc Terry. Great man. Great singer. These men would rehearse for hours and showed no sign of fatigue. Holy Ghost power. Miss this type of gospel singing.
