I suppose you didn't watch the Matrix and the series, then. FYI, the Matrix and other top movies started out as anime, Animatrix for the Matrix, Transformers movie came from the Japanese anime. Your sadly mistaken on the Matrix being an anime before it was a movie. Animatrix came out after the 1st movie.. a setup to the 2nd installment of the trilogy to show us all what happened up till the first move and it showed us that a lot of other people had fought against the matrix. Also It setup the third movie in answering how the wars begin and how we as humans created A.I. Everything else is true, Transformers was a cartoon then a movie.
