Help Me be strong and the best I can be, not only for me !.. But for the people who count on me.. Thanks world...I love life we just have to live "it"!!
Hulah Gene Dunklin-Hurley (lyric soprano), and her daughter Carolyne Hurley (mezzo-soprano), of Detroit, MI....also did an extremely close harmony arrangement of this...
This song is one of many of his songs that touch me in a way, that it keeps me understand what life is all about. No matter how hard life gets,, the Lord will see me though it!!
looks i need to turn to mr james cleveland fa struggles that i go thru for some reason it helps me i guess god is using him to get thru me even if hes not alive and that im thankful for
Don't worry and don't be discouraged cause He knows how much you can bear. Thank you for posting this song. Never thought when we recorded it, I'll be listening and getting this kind of comfort.
This song was first recorded with Prayer Tabernacle after the death of Pastor Craig. If you get the chance you really need to hear it. It is an awesome song
So beautiful.....know his health was beginning to fail in these later years, but he still knew how to hit all those notes with that "James Cleveland" feel and sound. Listen at how he says "Oh the man knows" in the second time around and then how the crowd responds after.....it's moments like that that really make you miss James even more! Rev. James Cleveland, we miss you!
I used to! Someone uploaded it to Kazaa a few years back. It was indeed with the Voices of Tabernacle, I remember him saying that in the prologue to the song. It's a quicker, more thumping, "fuller" version with some other choir members trading on lead.

I have been trying to find this album on CD for the longest time. There's a song on it called "Restore My Joy" that I can't find anywhere.

There's a great older recording of this song that Rev. Cleveland did with either a young girl/boy soprano also on lead.

Do you have a copy of it that you can upload? I'd heard of an older version, but I've never heard it for myself.
