  • @kukkelf1 Totally agree with you, even DTM is more exciting then F1! The only reason I watch F1 is just because Schumacher drives in it.

  • @schumacher180racing And how you become an Schumacher fan? Cause of formula1 :D

  • @MrStig691 Yes it does. F1 sucks, even when you'd touch another car you already get penalized there. in F1 it's only about Vettel, Vettel and Red Bull Racing!

  • There's no better sleeping pill than F1... IndyCar rocks!

  • @kukkelf1 No it doesn't.

  • Indy is a lot more boring than F1. F1 rocks. enough said

  • all my friends say that indycar (especially the indy 500) is boring compared to f1 cause they're "always driving left and left..." but i like indy car very much. unfortunately im from germany and i can only watch indy car via internet...

  • @TheItalianoMafiosi, The Indy 500 is not boring. More passing probably goes on in the Indy 500 than in any other automobile race in the world.

  • @coltcub64 Theres a reason for that. Because it's 10 times harder to pass in F1!

  • @coltcub64 Except a regular F1 race in the rain of course.

  • I'm sure Indycar is more exciting when you're actually into it.. Personally i think it's rather tedious, but better than watching baseball :P

  • how do you know f1 is better then indy? indy drinks milk,,, wtf

  • @glenn3001, Dude that's a tradition. The original owners of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway also owned a milk company. The first ever winner of the Indy 500 was so hot when he got out of the car, that he looked for the first thing he could do drink and it happened to be a bottle of milk.

  • I prefer watching IndyCar to F1. Less of a parade. IndyCar has had issues, but is coming back strong.

  • @zacharythefirst Did you watch the 2010 season in F1?

  • @stevencooley Parts. I thought it better than in years past, but still not my cup of tea. Hopefully, they have a good 2011!

  • Falling asleep..Theyr making a left tuuuuurn.

  • no indy car no indy car f1 indy car no f1 incy car a a a a a a indy car no f1 indy car1

  • Indy is totally different than F1. F1 is the number one worldwide and the mother of all others open wheel categories. Indy is the number one of US, is totally different and IMPOSSIBLE to try to compare both categories. Indy have more sponsors and there is more show because thats the meaning of Indy. Indy equal US.

F1 is worldwide. There are sponsor BUT there are brands manufactures. Huge difference. I don't like to compare because I love both. But of course there are difference.

  • @trinodelao You need to look a little closer at an F1 car! No sponsors?? The reason you think that is probably due to the fact that none of them are familiar to you! I was watching a special about Mclaren from almost 20 years ago, to put 2 sticks on the sidepod mirrors that were may 1"X3" cost over 5 million pounds! Thats about 7 or 8 million dollars now a days, back then it was probably closer to 10 million! Same thing on and Indycar would MAYBE be $100,000

  • @trinodelao "F1 is the number one worldwide and the mother of all others open wheel categories." #1 worldwide? OK, that IS it. "mother of all other OW series"? Negative! F1 was born in early 50s, and some teams even competed at the already 40-year-old Indy 500 at that time. That used to count points towards World Championship back then, but of course, no longer.

I hope one day F1 will become so...competitive, that FIA will have to open it for 20+ teams...each with 1 driver only, of course.

  • @trinodelao BTW, these IndyCar onboard cameras are 360°, which I'd definately love to see in F1 =)

  • F1 and IRL is both highly skilled concentration...and all honestly, i know you may piss on me, but IRL i believe is much more harder than F1...For the simple fact, that you have to be 110% Awake and have 110% Concentration....cause going around in Circles, 3 Wide at 200mph+ for 200Laps+ is extremely testing your endurance and ability to think, stay awake and function at extreme speeds...in F1, theres turns and hairpins to keep you active, so you don't risk that much, BUT F1 is also very gruesome

  • @CinCBamaboy You make some good points, I agree to an extent but you need to watch some footage just on how quick and f1 car changes direction! Indy cars have slow, dead steering! F1, a couple millimeters of turn on the wheel will change the cars direction by 10 or 12 degrees, BIG difference! Also, F1 cars hit speeds of over 200MPH on road courses, Indy on a good straight at a road course, MAYBE 175MPH! Champcar is the only thing that could compare and even they were 8 secs a lap slower!

  • TK is awesome, im a fan of dixon an franchiti as well cant stand castraneves and danica patrick is a fucking joke. I like F1 as well but to the jerk that posted earlier, a lot of formula drivers that come to indy class cant hang at the high MPH. Going over 20mph for a few hours is pretty hard.

  • @Johnnyboy200406 How many drivers have come to Indy from F1 that werent there before? The last one I can remember was Mario Andretti! Shut the hell up and the reason for someone in F1 to goto Indy is cause they suck or they are washed up, FACT!! If you cant hack it in F1 then thats really your only option if you want to go fast in an openwheel car without going backwards Johnny!! Watch a little more youtube and maybe you'll understand!!

  • @craigg1981 that is the most ignorant statement ive ever read, if you really base all your knowledge on youtube videos you are a sad pathetic jackass. You should watch a little more racing than what you see on top gear and youtube moron. Indy car drivers are equally talented, they have to know how to maintiain control at 200mph and still run circuit grand prix tracks

  • @Johnnyboy200406 Fuck you people are dense! I was talking about you getting all your knowledge on youtube twit! Top Gear is a TV show, doesnt really have shit to do with racing! Racing in circles is not the same! And F1 goes over 200MPH on like 3 or 4 different road courses, not this circle track stupidity! F1 cant even race on an oval, too much downforce! Ask Indy drivers that used to run Champcar about Texas Speedway in 05 or 06 I believe, passing out at the wheel!

  • @Johnnyboy200406 really i go over 20 mph everyday for five hours back and forth to work so i must have amaizing power lol i know you ment to put 200mph

  • That last clip is amazing. The 2006 Indianapolis 500 will go down as one of the best 500s in history.

  • aahm i think the first one isnt an indy car...

by the way: does marco andretti have sth do do with mario andretti (he was a f1 driver)

  • (you must know this is my 2nd account my first one is sizilianomafiosi)

the first one is champ car and (i think since 2007) IndyCar doesnt belong to the champ car series anymore. am i right??

  • whats the top speed of indy cars??

    (in kph please im german)

  • @SizilianoMafiosi

well...they go up to like 240 mph or so...thats something like 390 kph i think..

  • 230-235Mph, google (search) Mph to Kph adjustments.

  • Where's the trashcan? Put this in there quick!

  • im 11 and im amazing in go kart racing lol ive been racing till i was 8

  • No big skill compared to F1 drivers

  • no big skill? shows that u have no clue about indy cars...

  • "That was a perfect lap, perfect lap. Give me 5 more of those!"

lol... he thinks it's the easiest thing on Earth!!!

  • SOMETHING GOOD WILL HAPPEN TO U AT 9:10 SOMEONE WILL CALL YOU OR TALK TO YOU ONLINE AND SAY I LOVE YOU OR ASK YOU OUT BUT HERES THE CATCH Send To 3 vids

  • too fast track for F1 car*, ofc, sorry

  • Oh my GOT, Indianapolis oval is TOO fast for F1! WHAT THE F*CK !? There's no TOO fast car for F1 car... Maybe the should limit F1 max speed to 250 kph... What kind of idiots... I know, I understand A. Senna, Jim Clark, J. Villenevue... But this was earlier! Now is now, just build more safe cars! And remove these chicanes from Monza!

  • if there weren't any chicanes at Monza the cars would fly!!!!

  • Not nowadays F1 cars - didn't you know that they can go on ceiling when going over 120kph??? They wouldn't fly ;)

  • 2009 F1 cars would go really fast on an oval because of the downforce reduction but I am not sure if the earlier ones could keep up with Indycars on an oval...

  • Yea, agreed. By the way 2009 F1 cars are relatively slow - 2008 cars would be better for oval ;)

  • Well, that is incorrect, 2009 F1 cars have less downforce, so they would be far faster on a straight than last years cars. In fact, they would be much faster than an IndyCar if they were set up to run an oval. They have more power, so if you take downforce off of the front and rear, and also lengthen the gear ratios, it would be faster on an oval. The only reason F1 cars do not achieve higher speeds on straights is because they are set up for acceleration due to less straights.

  • Ok, I've to agree with you now. But what about e.g. 2004 F1? Almost all records on actual F1 tracks belongs to one of 2004 F1 car. What about them???

  • 2004 was before F1 made more aerodynamical reforms, also they were running V10 engines at that point in time, until they changed them to V8s just after that. So, it was after years of perfecting downforce and aero work, and they had more powerful V10s, that is why that is one of the fastest years in F1.

  • OK, thanks for the info!

  • Slow? I thought 2009 F1 cars were sped up a little bit eve though they attemted to slow them down to make the field more even.

  • If IRL would be shown on Polish TV, I won't watch each F1 race... Indy is much better because of no morons - I mean FIA officials... This racing is like it was 50 years ago, but more safe and much faster! Someone said that F1 cars are going round micky-mouse tracks... Yes, it's true... This is the biggest problem of F1 nowadays. What a d**k-head added IDIOTIC chicanes on Monza? Or Spa? Has shortened Interlagos? Or Kyalami? FIA dumbasses! Racing track MUST fast for F1 car! Its not WTCC or smthng!

  • no match for f1 but more overtakings are fun, we are going to se that in f1 next year

  • lol, you think so? F1 is still a great serie, but overtaking will never happen a lot.

  • I rather be watching Indycar than F1. It just feels more exciting.

  • @212809 still F1 is on another level

  • @mouloudo follow the redbulls and hope they take each other out is another level, you're right.

  • @Hmkls or watch cars doing circles for one hour XD

  • @mouloudo lol obviously you've never heard about air turbulence, f1 drivers cry over how hard it is to follow someone, and that's 100 mph, these guys and girls deal with it at 225. and looks like you're bored with f1 and start looking at Indycar videos, wise choice my friend, because THIS is real racing.

  • @Hmkls Im french, and Im pretty aware about indy car because of Sebastien Bourdais 5 time world champion in indy car, nobody in formula 1 and got fired, Montoya? indy car champ, zero in F1

  • @mouloudo That's CART and Champcar that you're talking about lol

  • @Hmkls fuck XD see I suck at american racing... I watch nascar, indy car or champ car from time to time, but I just cant find the level of excitement as in F1... I understand that people can love Nascar for example but when I watch some nascar, I'm only expecting to see the big one XD

  • @mouloudo F1 has excitement? Running in line for 99% of the race, 90% of overtakes for position are in the pits, 9% are out braking, and 1% are actual real overtakes like we used to see in 70's-early 90's F1.

Not to mention only 4 F1 teams can afford to compete and you have a 30% chance to guess who's going to win every race.

I'm not saying NASCAR is very exciting, the 1.5 mile ovals are probably some of the most boring racing around, but I just don't find F1 to be very fun to watch.

  • @SuperColossal33 I can prove any of your point wrong XD I'd just say that braun and red bull, arent in the four team you think of, so you're point that saying " we can guess who will win" is wrong..; 2 years ago if someone would have told you that Braun would be champ, you wouldnt have believed it... plus no ovetake? you can say on a hand that the red bull are stupids to have collided and on an another that they dont try to to overtake each other, even in the SAME team! (sry for my english)

  • @mouloudo The only reason there was an overtake is because Weber went into fuel saving mode, he would not have done something like that if say Hamilton was behind him, the overtake only happened because they were team mates.

It doesn't matter where Braun was. F1 is about money, look at Schumacher, he's not a contender anymore. Vettel is a terrible driver and it just goes to show you how money is more important than driver skill. A combination of money and driver skill was Schumacher years ag

  • @mouloudo indy car kicks f1s ass

    f1 can suck my dick

  • @honda50012 nice point, typical indy car fan... too dumb to make other things than loops

  • @mouloudo indy cars are the best in the world they are the only cars in the indy iam an indy car fan and proud and i bet i know way more about racing than you.

  • @honda50012 " they are the only cars in indy" ... no shit! XD mmm mmm must be very clever. indy cars are trucks compared to F1

  • @mouloudo indy 500* is what i ment to say lol

  • @honda50012 How old are you cause Indy hasnt been an important race since 1995?? Tony George is the biggest tool in racing and couldnt even run a team nevermind a series!! Do you even know who Tony is?? Your a complete lump if you honestly believe Indy has anything on F1!!

  • @craigg1981 you may think indy is not important anymore but every year millions of fans show the world how important it is to them. the only f1 driver worth a damn right now is lewis hamilton. and ye i know who tony geeroge is i have met him at indy he is the grand son of tony geroge sr. i live in indiana and know how excited every one around here gets for the month of may.and if youwant to pick on tony thats fine but what about the asshole that is running the track now. by the way i am 19yr

  • @honda50012 Well this is America, you can pretty much walk outside and find millions of idiots anywhere you look!! I meant on a worldwide scale, Indy doesnt mean shit and it hasnt since 1995 when Villenueve won it! Tony got to where he once was cause he married Bill Fance's grand daughter and thats where he got the money to but Indy! He ran open-wheel racing into the ground and you only being 19, I dont expect you to understand....

  • @craigg1981 craigg i know you may think just because i am only 19 i dont know shit about racin in the past but let me tell you my grandfather was a riding Mechanic in the 1933 indy 500 with deacon litz . also i am own my own small race team. and i am enroled @iupui wtha major in motorsports engineering. so i am not trying to be an ass but i know a whole hell of a lot about racing

  • @honda50012 I was at Mosport for sportscars when I was 7 months old, sleeping 15 feet from the track, SO?? Having a grandfather that was at Indy and going to a school for engineering doesnt mean you know what your talking about! If you go watch what Indy looked like in the 80's and early 90's you can not compare the 2! There is no millions of people at Indy, it sits 500,000 which they dont use all of anymore and maybe another 200,000 in the infield which they dont get anymore!

  • @212809 me too... F1 races i these days are that when someone starts from pole, he usually wins...

  • @212809 Feels more exciting nowadays. Before 1994 F1 was king

  • @212809 Personally i find ovals boring as hell. Not technical enough. Just floor it, let off, turn left. But to each their own.

  • @212809 my arse

  • @212809 Wow, a procession round an oval. So exciting!

F1 is the pinnacle, faster cars, better tracks and drivers. End of discussion.

  • @MrStig691 Err no. Even the circuit courses in Indycar are more exciting to watch than F1's circuit courses. The only tracks worth watching in F1 are the street circuits, and even then there is hardly any overtaking even with DRS which makes races very dull.

  • seriosly they drive aground a circle good overtaking sure but damn no skill needed?

  • lol!

Do u know how focused you have to be to do that over 200 times! going 3 wide at times and side by side for laps!

    Gimme a fucking break dude

  • Unless you claim you drive one of these cars in real-life, don't come here bitching that it takes no skill to turn left! The cars are running flat-out. And it just takes a slight lapse of concentration to spin your car.

  • Indys okey but you cant keep me from heavy stockcars. Im not saying Indy sucks unlike some idiots on both sides. I hear Indy vans say nascar sucks and I hear nascar fans say indy sucks. Whats the point. They both have awsome side by side races because they both turn left. We should joint to gether to hate F1. Now thats a snorez fest.

  • So boring... Dumb guys with no driving skills doing circle... Great. F1 and WRC are the best drivers!

  • dude STFU...........NASCAR will never compare to F1. NASCAR is best in America.....F1 is best iof the ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD. man u look like a fucking redneck moron right about now. ;)

  • Well those people don't care there is a world outside of America.

  • dude STFU...........NASCAR will never compare to F1. NASCAR is best drivers of America.....F1 is best drivers of the ENTIRE FUCKING WORLD! man u look like a fucking redneck moron right about now. ;)

  • Its really ain't that hard to fallow the guy in front of you and having you car being half a computer helps alot. Im not saying F1 sucks its just theres really no passing. Nascar at talladega or indy at texas cant be beat. How can F1 beat 3 wide racing please tell me" You sound like a redneck" how long did it take you to think of that one. You really havent seen nascar latly, its starting to fill with rich snobs

  • Comment removed

  • Hornish was the best.

  • i didn't know the pit is allowed to tell you how to drive... or was that coming from the driver himself? rather watch indy than nascar... nascar blows my shoes...

  • Drivers has their own crew chiefs, they talk about tactics (fuel saving, pitting and so on) with they're chiefs, also spotters tells drivers if they're going side by side and so on (that's for oval racing)

  • what does side by side mean (with danica's driving between 1:37-1:56). isn't that still considered a suggestion? or isn't the driver supposed to turn the head left and right to observe what's going on?

  • Indycar is ok.

  • Let go racing !!!!.

  • i love what kanaan says. he is such a good bloke

  • AMAZING

  • Coo 5*****
