This is an amazing, powerful track and it fits perfectly with the film. It's foreboding and has that sense of urgency. Believe me, the rest of this film's score is very good as well. I wish some label would pick up on this and release the soundtrack already!!!! I listen to this track every day when I wake up.
The helicopter is heading north through downtown towards the 110, then turns right along the 101 heading south east. It then heads due east between1st street and 4th street, over the LA river. It turns right again now heading due south along the 101 again. It hits the Santa Ana, Pomona freeway interchange and the shot ends with the car going down either the Pomona freeway or the Santa Ana Freeway into East Los Angeles.
Thnks for putting these up. This must be from the old laserdisc. The ending sequence on the beach and it's music has always been a favorite of mine. (please put that up if you have the chance) Been waiting for the DVD for years.
thanks for uploading~

This movie is great, seen it many times. The novel that inspired this film is great too. And this theme music is awesome.

I'd love to have the final part, that music is out of this world.

Mr. Newton Howard is the man. I wish he had've won for "Michael Clayton" last year.
And does anyone have the end credits music for this movie? I haven't heard that in a while.

One of the best opening-credit music scores ever. Simply astonishing.

The man that scored the music for this would later go on that year to score one of my favorite movies (RUSSKIES)
