It's come to my attention that the original postman/fireman version of this song, as well as the pilot/nurse one were recently released on DVD. The problem is, it's an "Elmo's World". That's probably why they haven't been added to youtube yet.
I saw an anime once showing a horny Japanese housewife fantasizing about Bob while watching her kids watch Sesame Street. Then she starts pleasuring herself and her kids join in. It's perverted but oh so fun.
I was humming this song walking down the hall at my office. I don't know why. :) It's just so nice to be able to come to YouTube and *poof* the memories are all at your fingertips! :)
MY GOD, could you imagine this being the only entertainment available for your child today? I think the first thing I would to tell my son would be something like, "Son, if a man who looks like this offers you candy, or starts singing like this to you, PUNCH or KICK HIM IN THE NUTS AS HARD AS YOU CAN, AND RUN AWAY!" My how times have changed...
OMG! The brown teacher guy looks like my LD resource teacher, Mr. Richmond. If you're wondering what LD stands for it's learning disabilities and resource at my school is kind of like study hall for special ed students. I'm a junior in high school.
I've loved this song since my childhood, but Savemart royally f-ed it up to a mindnumbing degree, with their embarrasing to watch commercial! The first time I saw that s-----y ad, It started out a little embarrasing, getting worse and worse, until its worst point, when that woman too loudly(for my taste)belted out the song's final words, widely gesturing with her hands. She was either on something,or completely and incurably insane!
I'm impressed he's been on the show since the beginning, and a lotta the people have been on the show for 20-30 years or so. You'd think they'd wanna move on to other stuff.
More brilliance from classic Sesame Street. It is sad to realize that this song is better than most of the dreck that is coming out today on the radio....lol!!
Damn now I know where this song came from. This artist did this song and he called it who are the bitches in your neighborhood and his last line was their the hoochies that you meet when they hoing on the street their the hoochies that you meet each day. Damn they took that from seseme street?
I believe it was the twenty-third episode of the first season, and it concerned the postman and the fireman. That's the one generally hear on the sound recordings, which makes me want to see it up here all the more. So, if anyone has it...
More that one puppet looks like Bert with stuff on him

@Garrettk41 You sure it's not maybe just a bonus feature? If it's only featured briefly, I can see that. I had no idea that one just came on DVD.

@wattamack4 Right. It is a bonus feature.

Why does Bob completely ignore the teacher's request for time? Then he makes them more late by playing guessing games!
