  • Love this game!

  • i love this game

  • The cheese space craft (Kraft cheese) was fast, and could easily reach the orbiting station.. The plus/4 version was slightly faster then the C64, I remember doing a comparison test way back then.

  • in 1988 ,i need some months to escape from targ...

  • i have had this game too but i didn't understand the sense and what i had to do there

  • any one remember the cheese u coulf fly in?

  • omg I loved this, played it to the end. The GTA IV of it's day. I didn't realise we had sandbox games back in the mid 80's !.

  • I loved this game, an update would be cool.

  • yeah i love the plus 4

  • A very good conversion. It's an excellent game and well suited for the plus4 with it's hi-res mode.

  • Anybody know where i can get the adf for this games for Winuae?

  • There is no need for that. You can get MDDClone for Windows. It is fanmade remake which contains all three games in Mercenary series. It has been developed by disassembling the code from Atari ST versions and converting it to C++, so it is very faithful reproduction of the original games.

  • Ive got the adf now, but thanks for the suggestion!

  • Hey, I have a question. in Mercenary 3: The Dion Crisis it says to press * to use certain functions of items. What's the * key? It's not Shift+8, can you help me?

  • Never mind, stupid question. I was looking at the numpad.

  • I used to love this game. Looking back at it now you could say it was the inspiration for the 3D Grand Theft Auto series

  • Is that on a real Plus/4, or emulated? It seems to be running quickly, perhaps faster than my old Amiga 600 playing Mercenary!

  • If I remember correctly, the speed of the Plus/4 version in the video is more or less identical to the C64 version on real hardware. However, it has been said that the Amiga version was a lazy port from Atari ST version and suffered from lower framerate.

On the other hand, apparently Damocles and Dion Crisis don't suffer from this (according to the author of MDDClone the Atari ST version of Damocles had at least one bug which was fixed for the Amiga version).
