  • Can i merge Audio clips?

  • What song is that?

  • @SomeRandomZeke - "Scott Fisher - Moholithic Filter" in the Projects - Coolstuff folder in the FL Studio Browser

  • Hello,

I'm trying but failing to merge two audio clips, after slicing one, and removing a piece. If I select the two clips and try to merge them, I get the message 'Could not find enough valid pattern clips or instances to merge.' If I try the same thing without selecting any clips, it merges all of my drums patterns but not my audio clips! I would very much appreciate a solution to my problem. My audio clip was imported as an MP3. Could that be the problem? If so, why?

    Many thanks.

  • @rythmking24 - Better to ask this in Lootalk.

  • @imageline Well... that's helpful. Thanks :-I

  • Hi im new to FL studio! i started with 10 and i see your guru videos are very useful then the rest! i was wondering when you merge pattern clips to change them individually and it creates a new pattern on the list this could create way too many different patterns individually! is this the only option?

  • FL Studio is an extremely well designed DAW software with many professional features and a superior Human Control Interface (HCI) - Keep up the great work, we all benefit from your product development (not to mention reasonable pricing) and compositional approach to music creativity. Note: Agree with comment below - FL needs to develop a campaign to raise product awareness within the educational market.

  • you guys need to use some of the wasted space from the top toolbar, either fill it out by making the existing elements bigger, or make the unused space transparent. pleaseee

  • great video,i am thinking of buying fl studio, the problem is,i don't want any soundpool loops as i prefer to compose my own loops from scratch so i want it to be loaded with vst's effects ect but not pre composed loop by anyone else.which version would best suit me?

(i have been looking at the producer xxl edition on your site).

  • @furey2310 - Producer Edition is the best starting point. FL Studio isn't really stuffed with loops. Although you can download them if you want. We have a $49 sale on for all additional plugins at the moment until September 8 2010. Time to get in :)

  • @imageline thank you.i am actually looking at the signature bundle to be honest.i've downloaded the demo but as it's a different interface to magix which i currently use,i'm having dificulty getting my head round the settings.i love the sound by the way.i am definitely going to buy it but i don't just want to jump into it now without first taking time to get to know the basics, that'd be like buying a 747 without first learning to fly lol.i have to say i am very impressed with FL studio so far.

  • Thumbs Up. Nice feature.

  • thanks!!

  • I like the software and planning on gettin it just 1 question which version would you recommend I get the producer, fruity or signature and what is the big difference between each of them

  • @UnTiLNxtYear - Producer is the version to start with if you are unsure. The core FL Studio program is unlimited and has all features. Signature bundle is the way to go if you want extra plugins such as Maximus and Sytrus. We have a $49 sale on for all IL plugins at the moment!

  • ahhh very nice. could work. learn somthing new everyday.

  • FL Studio is the best music production software ever made. Keep the good work guys! You are the best! If you check out my channel, all of my songs are made with FL Studio. I LOVE YOU!

  • I still don't understand how people consider FL studio "unprofessional"

  • @Covert529 Elitists ... there way too many of them.

  • @Covert529 There's a hangup on FL's old name, it's deviance into a different user interface, look and feel from other popular DAWS and some of it's stock wav samples and "fruity" out-of-the-box sound. Many thought it was simply for techno or dance music...which is the genre heavily featured in the Cool Stuff folders. But, because of these things, the ignorant has dubbed it as "unprofessional", when it reality, it's one of the most powerful DAWs. You guys need some other genres in your cool stuff

  • @Covert529

I think its because when they're at college, tutors don't show them anything apart from Logic and Ableton

  • @Covert529

It's just an excuse since FL Studio has one of the most easy to use interface. Most people criticize this because anyone can grab it and make a beat.

  • @Covert529 - Generally those sorts of comment come from non-professionals. There's a lot of 'tribalism' with music software/hardware. A lot has changed in the last 10 years in the music business. Today a big percentage of music is being made in people's home project-studios (for professional use).

  • @Covert529 well... try synthmaker and u'll shit ur pants

  • where can i get the full song as flp?

  • @phil15ip

    the "cool stuff" folder.

  • Are you a real guru?

  • id be nowhere without these videos

  • Thank you GURU

  • This channel is blissful! Wonderful tutorials, very clear and concise.

  • i love that song! One of the things that got me into FL studio =)

  • @mechwarreir2 - The song was originally made by Scott when gol complained there were no demo projects really showing the power of automation. The result was 'Monolithc Filter' in the 'Cool stuff' folder of the FL Studio Browser.

  • @imageline yeah I know the demo projects are what got me interested lol

  • When is FL 9.5 Released so i can go out an finally buy it

  • @Dmt4030 - If you purchase FL Studio 9.1 you can have access to it right now.

  • I wonder when Fl Studio will include different step variations in the pattern sequencer. Bein' able to work with 1/16th, 1/32nd and 1/64th of a beat and this simultaneously.

  • thanks :)

  • thanks...was always wondering when/how to use that function

  • @ManiDProductions - You wonder, we answer :)

  • @imageline Sometimes I wonder, why are we here? Where did we come from?

  • @ThomasZiano - We are here to make music production software. We come from Belgium :)

  • @imageline Yes we do indeed come from Belgium ;-)
