2nd the car has limited visibility specially from the rear mirror. 3rd, there's a bit of turbo lag when pushing the pedal. Anyway, other than that, the car is just amazing, and i'll be making my order in one or two weeks hopefully
I test drove one of those one week ago, although it was the 1.8 TSI model. Great Car but not perfect tho. The build quality, the mature interior, the searing position are just amazing. And although it was the 1.8 engine, the car surprised me with how fast it accelerates, i believe it has to do with the huge torque of this engine. For me the car has 3 issues : 1st the handling is average, the car doesn't go into curves as agile as it should
@GTRMclaren722 haha, I agree! but "fugly" is a bit harsh word for me to use, as I can't design the car or I don't know what I could change to make that rear look as good as the front... I've noticed that there are a lot of new cars that look awesome in the front but the rear look too 'blah~' these days. Maybe it's because, like human, when we meet new people, we look at their face(front) first and not the butt(rear). So, they don't care how the rear(butt) look much, perhaps? :)

Ok first of all I survived a head on with a dodge RAM 2500 both doing 75mph, I opened my door and watched the firemen use the jaws of life to remove the dumb BITCH that was in my lane. Dodge flipped end over and rolled 3 times. VR6 is capable of 29 mph at 85/90 mph sustained forma 3 hour leg of a trip. German engineering rocks and I owe my life to it. The German engineering is not as great as they would like to to believe.......I would take a Honda, Toyota, Lexus, Acura, or HYUNDAI anyday over a VW!!! rented a CC while in Dallas...and traffic there moves at 90mph like I'm use to when I lived in Germany. after driving it for 3days i reconsidered getting a Lexus GS 350. im seriously going to get a CC R-Line w/ navigation...and that 2.0T is worth it in gas mileage and power!

@Rasimbacko2 VW CC starts at $33k here in Canada while the a4 starts at $37k. however the CC-R trim is fully loaded and sells for $38k. that's 10k less than a loaded A4 which costs $47k. Also VW dealers have lot of room for discount, check with your VW dealer.

I realize that this is a different taste than a GTI which is def. also a great car but its bigger, just as quick, same fuel economy, and feels significantly more upscale... R-line or not, and believe me drive this car and it feels way faster then the specs would suggest, in manual trans at least

@Jakeman2164, yeah, it's great stuff. The only thing noticeable is that it is JUST slightly on the firmer side when compared to a seat with leather though, I believe it is VW who does that specifically with the seat cushion, and not the leather itself that makes the seat softer.
I would figure the r line would have vw's 4motion and maybe a 2.5t engine like the new audi tt , I actually seen one of these on the highway in black , so beautiful
Stop bullshitting people about what leatherette is and shit. Most people would never be able to distinguish if it was fake or not. The best advantage of leatherette is that it is virtually maintenance free(doesn't stretch, fade, or develop a sheen), and will last the life of your car. My Passat had leatherette seating and everyone assumed it was leather...until I told them. If I could, I would choose leatherette over leather most of the time on any car.
@iggibars Leatherette does not breath....i.e. allow air to flow through. So on a hot day you'll stick to the plastic you are sitting on. Cheap seats in a VW...how nice!! I would rather maintain the leather in my car than have the advantage you are offering. At least my leather allows me to travel in comfort and luxury as intended. Your passengers assumed it was leather as they knew no better, I'd guess!
You clearly don't know what you're talking about. I've owned both leather and leatherette cars, and had both versions of leather in perforated and unperfected. Leather does not "breathe," it's the perforation that does that! Leatherette has that too! Did you seriously actually believe that air moves through a solid leather? LOL. If you don't know better, that says something about leatherette.

Funny enough, air (moisture) does move through real (solid??? not sure what you mean there) leather (process called transpiration)as leather is a natural fibre. Remember, leather is animal skin, hence air is able to pass through. Leatherette on the other hand is synthetic (plastic....man made) and as we all know, plastic cannot breathe (traspiration cannot take place). Perforations merely add to the luxury feel of car seats!
We're not talking about moisture here, we're talking about air. Leather does not allow air to pass through unless it is perforated. Leather does attract moisture, but at that point, you are already sweating. Real leather does NOT prevent, or stop sweating! Neither does leatherette. It's the perforation that allows breathability of the material, as well as allow the addition of cooled seats. If leather could breather, why wouldn't they use cooled seats on unperforated leather?
Also, if leather naturally allows air to pass through, how do you suppose they make water canteens out of them? It's just a soft leather that can be folded away, and filled up when needed.
@iggibars Leatherette actually is leather, it's just treated and sealed. We have leatherette in our 1992 VW Cabriolet Wolfsburg that has 17,000 miles on it. The seats look and feel as if the car were brand new.

@carolitea The R line is a little more sporty it has a different front and rear bumper and side skirts. It also has a little bigger engine that the regular CC.

volkwagon is nice man.! this car is beautifil! very nice car. cars are getting better by the year huh? im glad i was born i 1996 so i can grow up and see all the new things and stuff they put into cars every single year at the chicago autoshow and out on the street.

@Jakeman2164, yeah, it's great stuff. The only thing noticeable is that it is JUST slightly on the firmer side when compared to a seat with leather though, I believe it is VW who does that specifically with the seat cushion, and not the leather itself that makes the seat softer.

Stop bullshitting people about what leatherette is and shit. Most people would never be able to distinguish if it was fake or not. The best advantage of leatherette is that it is virtually maintenance free(doesn't stretch, fade, or develop a sheen), and will last the life of your car. My Passat had leatherette seating and everyone assumed it was leather...until I told them. If I could, I would choose leatherette over leather most of the time on any car.

@iggibars Leatherette does not breath....i.e. allow air to flow through. So on a hot day you'll stick to the plastic you are sitting on. Cheap seats in a VW...how nice!! I would rather maintain the leather in my car than have the advantage you are offering. At least my leather allows me to travel in comfort and luxury as intended. Your passengers assumed it was leather as they knew no better, I'd guess!

You clearly don't know what you're talking about. I've owned both leather and leatherette cars, and had both versions of leather in perforated and unperfected. Leather does not "breathe," it's the perforation that does that! Leatherette has that too! Did you seriously actually believe that air moves through a solid leather? LOL. If you don't know better, that says something about leatherette.

@iggibars My my, what can I say? Where do I start? I'll be kind. Funny enough, air (moisture) does move through real (solid??? not sure what you mean there) leather (process called transpiration)as leather is a natural fibre. Remember, leather is animal skin, hence air is able to pass through. Leatherette on the other hand is synthetic (plastic....man made) and as we all know, plastic cannot breathe (traspiration cannot take place). Perforations merely add to the luxury feel of car seats!

We're not talking about moisture here, we're talking about air. Leather does not allow air to pass through unless it is perforated. Leather does attract moisture, but at that point, you are already sweating. Real leather does NOT prevent, or stop sweating! Neither does leatherette. It's the perforation that allows breathability of the material, as well as allow the addition of cooled seats. If leather could breather, why wouldn't they use cooled seats on unperforated leather?

@iggibars Leatherette actually is leather, it's just treated and sealed. We have leatherette in our 1992 VW Cabriolet Wolfsburg that has 17,000 miles on it. The seats look and feel as if the car were brand new.

Wrong! Leatherette is NOT leather, nor does any part of consist of leather. Leatherette is a form of plastic leather, which is made out of polyurethane that is bonded over a fabric material.

@iggibars I've never owned a car with the newer leatherette so I wouldn't know, I simply stated what someone who sells VWs told me. I'm acting "pissy" because you were immature in the way you responded to my comment and act like you know everything. You weren't at the dealership when I test drove a car, so how the hell would you know what the sales people said? Get a life.

reading these comments, all u see is this car needs this that lacking this lacking that, my sonata does this my toyota does that..wtf people are never happy! i got one of these and let me tell you, i am so happy with it! tho i did get the double tone interior with blk and light brown, got rid of the orange front blinkers and replaced them with LED's ;) , installed HID's and boy oh boy...

@carolitea The R line is a little more sporty it has a different front and rear bumper and side skirts. It also has a little bigger engine that the regular CC.
