  • /watch?v=6MX8fFGi8hc&feature=related

  • Gooood atempt

  • YES YOU HAVE USED WHITE ONION U GOT 2 USE RED OR MUCH MORE SPICEY

    hahahahah

  • lol no fancy components just STICK it in the onion lol

  • I think it might work but we probably have to let the onion dry then soak it in the Gatorade I have tried the Gatorade that you make out of powder sugar stuff did not soak & yes was the ipod off

  • It Could be because you poked a hole all the way through the onion, you're supposed to not connect the holes. Because when you go through all the way the gatorade just goes right in and out of the onion. But im not sure.

  • @cliffbrowning84 dont you remember he tested it and it worked! god sometimes i feel like the people that comment good videos like this are idiots

  • you didnt put enough gatorade cuz you put the onion in first making it less then 2 cups

  • @meannerdamlok Im sorry but i don't think it would matter how much gatorade is there it still would absorb some gatorade at least if what household hacker said was right but it wasnt household hacker is a hoax

  • householdhacker are fucking liars and their videos suck!!! finally some american that is not a fucking idiot falling by Household hacker scam

  • @Zuxinowo word brother!!!

  • No suprises there then, personally I'd do it standing on one foot with an arm behind my back, I expect to see this lol :-) o/j

  • mine has been for 4 daus and has not absorbed much

  • Hey maybe u could try using a dead onion or a dried out one see ya o ya look at my vid thanks bi

  • I would take a potatoe in stead of a union because the smell is better.

  • LOL,

  • maby it didn't work becuase you did not do it right you did the oppistiet then what he did

  • this is how i woud do it i would put it in yellow gaterrad not orange adn then plug my ipod in and i did it and it work

  • -maskeddude1997

what would it have to do with flavor and the coloring they put in it

  • HEY monkeyloverbk , that was pretty good but, i prefer asshole cracker

  • You look like Justin Long.

  • what about a sponge ?

  • zune ftw!!!!!!!...pwns ipoid : P

  • hahah that was funny

  • big surprise

  • hahahahaha rite now i bet anyone 100 buck that household hacker will be at home laughing his pants off....

  • Lol

    use purple gatorade, DUH!!!

and your supposed to use a sun dried or just plain saturated onion to saok up the elctrolytes better.

and when the onion has been soaked flip the onion on its back while the USB is in its bottom.

So the elctrolytes will go down into the USB better.

    All about God given Gravity

  • did u put the hole in it like they did on the video

  • house holdhacker is a bunch of bullshit electrons dont leap just because something says electro

  • nice one man . house hold hacker makes only s**t

    Cheers man

  • nice try dude but i do not know how to do that at all so. but i am thinking that insted of orange gatorade you should have trys yellow!!

  • "he used yellow ..... i used orange cause i like orange" some how i thought that was funny

  • message me =]

  • if i sub to you would you sub to me?

  • Do you did it great good job!!!

  • Haha, i loved the part when you woke up and realized that your onion didn't even had sucked up a cl of gatorade, you looked so shocked XD

  • XD i love your commentary!

  • what would happen if you put more wholes in it?

  • =D Lover not a fighter.

  • @leaddiet ... red vs blue?

  • If you try this expiriment(spelt horribly wrong) next time, try poking two holes but not all the way through.

  • It does not matter it does not work regardless.

  • the i pod wos ternd off

  • LOL troll :D

  • tnxx 4 the video....

now i realized that the gatorade and an onion did not charge...

    tnxx a lot...

  • tnxx 4 the video....

now i realized that the gatorade and an onion did not charge...

    tnxx a lot...

  • "i have just wasted some pretty good gatorade" LOLZ!!!!!!!

  • people shouldn't waste some good gatorade and a USB cable over this

  • If everyone believed that then the battery would never have been invented.

  • looks like pee in the cup!!!lol

  • yeah i just tryed that and its a myth dude i belive

  • the juice didnt suck in cuz i think the hole wasnt suppose to be fully connected

  • Would you care to explain that more? I'm not sure what you're getting at. It was my understanding that the holes were to expose all the layers of the onion to the juice.

  • maybe if u squeezed some juice out of the onion :P idk try it

  • You ever tried to squeeze an onion? lol, well, I will attempt to dry out the onion a bit if I try the experiment again.

  • i thought the onion has to be brown?

  • The video and Household Hacker's website calls for a white onion. I'm not sure how color would make a difference, but if you can cite a source that says that it does contribute to creating a charge, I will recreate the experiment.

  • I would have tapped a stained spot but otherwise I can't complain.

  • An interesting idea. I will bear that in mind when/if I recreate the experiment.

  • i liked the way you did the test. household hackers thing was a hoax. i feel he plugged in the ipod on the computer when his camera was focused on the ipod towards the end.

  • Thank you, thank you. You are probably correct about his method, but I really have no idea :)

  • yeh nice one saved my USB wen i went camping buddy ;) thats 2 u saved now

  • what's the difference between yellow and orange gatorade? Jesus! If they tried it and said, "Uh, no it didn't work, too bad."

But they pass it off as fact and that pisses me off.

  • This is a perfectly reasonable method of doing a test of an hypothesis, and shows that the supposed Gatorade and onion as power cell method doesn't work. Now, I've heard that a long time ago using a stack of copper pennies (when they used real copper instead of brown zinc), silver dimes (90% silver, circa 1964 and before) in lemon juice, that would generate a small amount of power as a crude battery.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • maybe u should have tried yellow

  • So I watched your video on making an onion/gatorade battery and the original.

In the original, the directions, that is, the onion absorbed about a cup of gatorade. Your onion seemed to reject all but the coloring of the gatorade.

I recommend that you check the compatibility of components next time. That is, don't use gatorade from Florida and an onion from California and expect them to work together.

It's the details that will trip you up every time.

  • Well i thought is was a good video but u should have know that it wasnt going to work but hey brian probably would of done the same we miss you here in Texas!!! By the way this is Kat

  • I figured :) Hello Brian, Kat and Lizzy! I miss you guys.

  • Comment removed

  • yea man rocking the long hair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Off camera, I took a voltmeter to my onion. I got 2 milivolts out of it. If you want to suggest an alternative method, you are more then welcome to.

  • Good job staying neutral!!! Hopefully more people will find this vid, before they destroy a GOOD USB cable.

  • lol you dont have the last laugh :D you wasted all that time trying household hacker's bs so im pretty sure he has the last laugh!

  • I don't think it's time wasted if I proved to myself that it was invalid along with doing the research about why it didn't work. Stuff I didn't include because it would've made the video even longer. Guess I should have done so, eh?

    :) Thanks for watching
