  • "Made enough money to buy Miami, but I pissed away so fast!" love me some freaking Buffet! Had the pleasure of seeing him 6 times & meeting him twice.

  • @funoldwm

Honey, Jimmy IS how to look at +60 yrs...and those of us who have been around for it all appreciate his longevity! :)

  • Hate to tell ya this. now should be how a pirate looks @ 60?/

  • might go see him on august 8th in virginia

  • What year was this? Early 80's maybe? My 1st Buffet concert was 1982

  • Well good for you. You were always talented. remember coming into my bedroom and playing my piano? you and Steve....How's Jack?

  • I always feel robbed when I hear this song. Who robbed me? ME.....

  • @chericdl I know what you mean. But, maybe you've experienced somethings even Jimmy would envy. Keep your head up.

  • I always fill robbed when I hear this; Who robbed me me............me

  • A little Buffett to get Wednesday evening started- enjoy!

  • @jimmyb227 LOL in about an hour and a half it will be hump day again :/

  • @yamahonkawazuki - good morning! Lol- so true!

  • This is MUSIC!!!!! Thanks JIMMY and Coral Reefers!!!!!!!

  • my MAN

  • St pete beach here. Tryin to learn this song today. The lyrics are some of the best ive ever heard.

  • @tonyrosam st pete bro!

  • Buffett to me, means Buffett+Fingers Taylor. Great stuff here.

  • Its fitting that the best concert that JB ever did was in South Florida 20 something years ago....i love it how he gives concerts up north and everyone says how great he is...but no one really knows how to enjoy his music unitll you live in the Florida Keys like me....... at MM103 in Key largo....

  • @canefan4lyfe i don't know if thats the best concert he's ever done....he's had some good ones in mobile and fairhope...

  • THIS IS MY FAVORITE BUFFET SONG!!!

  • @thequad101 mine as well. because it fits exactly at my point in life

  • Thank you for posting all the songs from this concert. Looks like an awesome show. No one cheers me up like Jimmy, he makes me feel like nothing is as bad as it seems, there's always hope, and there's always a smile to be found somewhere. Is this concert on DVD? I'd love to hear it on my surround sound.

  • Timothy B. Schmit on bass? Did you know he coined the term "parrotheads"? Great talent he is with Jimmy.

  • Nope didn't know that Kil.

  • vh1 classics had this concert on

  • 19 yrs to go damn am i old

  • where can i find the DVD or bootleg of this what was this show called?

  • He did a concert at Auburn University back around 1980 and the 3rd encore was just Jimmy, a bottle of beer, and an acoustical guitar. What a show! I think i have seen him at least a dozen times and I have never been disappointed. But man is he good alone with just a guitar.

  • awesome song, awesome performance. been to several concerts of his and never a bad show.

  • My first concert in 1976 was Jimmy Buffett opening for Loggins & Messina at the Miami Jai alai... really great memories!!! Rock on Jimmy!

  • Where was this played at?

  • beb319....I was at this show at the Miamarina....totally wasted....but missed the show at the baseball stadium....saw Fleetwood Mac there in '75 on the Rumours tour and saw Bo Jackson there with the Royals against the Orioles in spring training. The stadium is gone now but I hope we save Miamarina. It took a hit with Hurricane Andrew.

  • I'm a fan of Jimmy, but a teen. I wish I could've been back in the 70s to see 'im. Need to go to a concert. My dad has his boat docked at a marina right around the corner of his beach house in N.Y.

  • He is the most fun concert ever!

    Have fun - Go Colts!

  • I cant wait to see him at the Dolphins first home game September 21st...Monday Night Football against the Colts at Halftime....GO DOLPHINS!!!

  • The entire concert video is great. Jimmy looks and sounds fantastic and it's weird seeing the Eagles Timothy B. Schmit with short hair.

  • This was my hubby's favorite son of all time

  • Saw Jimmy and the Coral Reefers at Miami Baseball Stadium in 1976 I think it was. He opened for the Eagles as they were kicking off their Hotel California tour. Buffett blew the crowd away, we didn't think the Eagles could top him but they did. Best concert I have ever been to! Two great acts in one concert, musical talent and songwriting ability are a lost art today.

  • Ooops, got curious, just checked and the concert was on 7/2/77. Apparently, there were just a few dates in Jimmy's Changes in Latitudes tour where he opened for the Eagles. I can't believe I was so lucky to catch one of them!

  • If only I had a time machine with a few charges left...

  • geez wat a tru legend i hope i can see him in cocert before he quits the biz wat a showman

  • I sing this song to my father who passed at 40. I hope the mother ocean is taking care of him...

  • A very far uot thing to do my friend, and you know she is!!!! You know, your father

thanks you for this!! Very cool!!!!!

  • Yes I am a pirate,200 years too late...dang....he paints the perfect picture in my mind...I love Jimmy.....no matter how life is treating me I listen to him and I have to smile.

  • nice harmonica!

  • Jimmy Buffett is sort of indefinable. He's not the best singer in the world, not the best guitar picker, although a pretty good songwriter.

What's the old expression, the whole is more than the sum total of the parts?

    Whatever, he's great!

  • i need a video on jamaica mistaica someone help!!

  • He is trying to say that there isn't anyone who will live forever.

  • Aw, man.

This tune just makes me feel good.

    Thank you.

  • FINNNNSSSS UP PARROTHEADS!!!!!!

  • Got to love Jimmy B, flew over to New York from London to catch his Atlantic City gig last Summer :-) Awesome!

  • good times

  • he is great performer. Thanks for posting this video

  • I love Buffett. Got to see him in Detroit and Chicago this year.

  • i saw him in london last summer, with jack johnson, amazing show

  • I saw Buffett at the Miami Marine Ampitheater. We were on a boat on Biscayne Bay, it was his last encore, around midnight, back in 1984. As he closed, there were fireworks going off over the water, in front of a full moon.

  • bet you jizzed in your pants

  • I think I was there as well. Did it rain that night at the end?

  • yes, but it was still awesome

  • my mom used to sing this to me, when i was a baby sitting on the front porch with a storm coming in......

    i love buffett

  • jimmy buffett is the HEAD of parrots

  • GREAT SONG thanks for posting ...you made an old Parrot Head smile!!!

  • Not only a proud Parrothead but a card carring Coral Reffer. The blender is cookin', shrimp is bubbelin' and I'm dreaming of old San Juan.

  • Jim's songs lose a bit in concert, compared to the studio tracks, in my opinion. But this is surely his most hypnotic and wonderful song, and is voted his best on many of the (thousands) of fan sites :).

  • I think they are better live. He adds to them and you can hear an energy you can't record in a studio.

  • True, like Margaritaville is all slow studio version, but everytime its preformed live, its so energetic and alive

  • 9 years to go. Oh shit. LOL If I can be as cool as him its all good though. Sail on!!!

  • he is so awesome

  • IM LOOKING AT 40 IN 6 WEEKS

  • I saw Jimmy perform (one song) at Margaritaville in Key West. He came in, somebody saw him and they begged him to sing one song. He played his guitar and sang "Volcano" (with a little help from the audience). When he sang the last word, the volcano in the restaurant exploded confetti on everybody. Great time.

  • OMG i was there i even have his autograph it says to rachel keeep your head held high

    j buffet!!!!!!!!!!

    omg small world!!!

  • well that would be an impostor then, cause Buffett has 2 T's.

  • omg it was like a typo wow every1 makes like mistakes

  • I was just teasin' Ya, I'm stoked for you, I have some rare stuff and photos, but no autograph, LUCKY !

  • lol thanx how old r u

  • As old as my tongue, and a little older than my teeth !

  • lol this is my niece's acc. im 23

  • Let's just note that my first Buffett concert was in 1980 for the Coconut Telegraph album tour !

  • wow!!!!!!

  • I miss the "harpoon man", Fingers Taylor

  • awesome!! One of my favorite Jimmy songs. My husband and I are headed to St. Louis this Thurs. 4/24 to see Jimmy and The Coral Reefers for the first time!! Can't wait!! He hasn't been to Kansas City for years and is finally coming back to St. Louis. We have our "parrotfanalia" ready to go!! We love Jimmy!!! One of my dreams is to see him perform in the Carribean or in Key West one day, what a party and truly fun experience that would be!

  • One of the best ! 5/5

  • me too! Mother, Mother Ocean how I managed to smile in this cold town :)!

  • Party for me, I live in a cold climate he'll never come here.

  • and the band too!

  • this video is amazing. buffett at his finest.

  • Sweet! Thanks for sharing!

  • Classic. One hell of a songwriter. God Bless Jimmy.

  • This is def one of my fav songs by God (aka Jimmy Buffett). I counted down for 140 days to his concert in Cinci on July 26th. I am so sad it's over I could almost cry. So, Jimmy, thank you for all the great music and memories. You are truly loved by many people.
