From Russian historical movies you can learn something and they are interesting! Unlike hollywood movies, where you have action movies with unlimited ammo and invicible heroes and nothing new - always predictable movies for low educated people...
But after watching it I have to say that in video above you see ALL of the best scenes. There is no exciting story, no convincing acting and really poor dialogues. I'm sorry to write that, because after having seen the trailer it's hard to believe that this movie is so poor. It could have had the potential of being an awesome movie. Two details are very positive though. It's "costume" and "camera". Both deserve an A (excellent), but the rest is simply an F (bad)

No, I´m not wrong. Those were Czechoslovakian legions created from Czech and Slovak pows captured by Russian army which fought with Russians against Austro-Ungrian empire. In 1918 after fall of Russian empire they wanted to return back to new Czechoslovakia, but when they tried it, there was made " peace agreement between Jew-Khazarian bolshewiks and Germans in Brest Litovsk.
Our legionairs wanted to return back, but the Germans couldn´t allow it and the same bolshewiks.
So they stayed in civil war Russian and must had to return through Transibrian magistrale and Vladivostok, but the bolshewikds didn´t want to allow it. So our legionairs took the magistrale and surrounding regions in order to get to Vladivostok, but were permanently attacked by bolshewiks. So they they ward the bolshewiks off, but our west allies forced us to help Whites like was Kolčak. Kolčak made war crimes in territories conquered by czechoslovakian legionairs behind our backs.
So our czechoslovakian legionairs let hem so and tried to return back let the magistrale bolshewiks for exchange of free way for our legionairs and our white allies out of Russia from Vladivostok. Bolshewiks agreed because they couldn´t conquere the magistrale, they just can make any partisan attacks, but requested also Russian gold and Kolčak.
Our legionairs didn´t want to die for Kolčak who just exploited them and stop protected him. The gold stayed in Russia and at whites.

As an American, I watched Admiral and loved the movie, I understood before I watched the movie about the White Army and the fight against the evils of Communism, unfortunately though, the Germans funded the Reds only because the Russian empire posed a threat to the German Empire the Germans thought the Commies would fail anyways. If only the other nations of the world would have helped more.

OK film. Good production but less love story and more warfare would have been better. Admiral Kolchak was the last true hero of Russia and of the free world.
I find it interesting that it was fairly easy to convince the French to turn the Admiral over to the Reds , all they had to do was issue a vague threat.

I think it is a little bit too long,... or needs a little bit more action. Action parts were great!. Women were too dramatic (but, again, they always are....). Overall, great movie!!

The troops ran out of ammo, and so they had to charge the bolsheviks as they were being mowed down by machinegun fire :(

But those were Czechoslovak legions, not " Czech ". Most of the legionairs were Czechs, but the founder and leader was Slovak M.R. Štefánik.

OK admiral wasn't know what will be after his tragedy. But thanks to his fight against reds, comunist paranoia was much bigger. That time was really black (red) and white. Nowaday u can find serbian or russian priest who got much love for soviet order. Even Stalin is ''saint''. His full name Alexandr Vasiljevich Kolchak. His forefather was captured turkish pasha. Then he lived in Poland, then came to Russia. He is Russian:)

I think it is a little bit too long,... or needs a little bit more action. Action parts were great!. Women were too dramatic (but, again, they always are....). Overall, great movie!!
