Hey quick question I think i put in the right layerbreak for mw3 put im not sure if I did is there possible ban for not haveing the right layer break?
TO ANYONE WATCHING THIS VIDEO!!!!! THIS IS AN INCORRECT METHOD.
The reason is you are only able to burn 97% of the ISO. You have to be leaving off something important people just think about it. They didn't make Skyrim 8.1 gb just because they could. There was a reason and there's important data that you're cutting off.
I tried this method with Skyrim and it loaded for a while, but now I'm at level 10 and it will load then just freeze. You need to burn these discs correctly.
@iProDanny They don't exist. The only way to do this is to cough up 20 bucks and buy an Ihas burner. I bought the 124-b for 20 bucks on ebay and am burning games perfectly. No coasters, Kprobe charts are clean, no errors. You're welcome to try the truncate method, but its gonna catch up to you eventually.
@janmancuska Buy an Ihas burner. Some people have reported problems with clonecd, the best way to burn is getting an Ihas, flashing with burner max, and burning with img burn (free software) at 4x burn speed. There are tuts all over the place for how to do this.
@janmancuska Nothing safe.... I mean you could try flashing burner max software to your drive, but the odds that it will work are a million to 1 and it would really screw up your drive if it didn't work. This is really the only way. Although, does your game work at all? or does it not even start? because it should at least start if you burned it right. You'll just run into issues later on.
@TheIronman268 i did both overburned and write till end of media option.. both dvds workin as far as i can instal game, and on console it show picture of the game and when i hit play it does load for couple of seconds and then wild message disc not supported :(

If its not an IHAS burner, the layer break should be 2086912. Btw, Only Verbatim (made in singapore) media is working fine with xgd3 games? I am talking about burning full 100% using IHAS burner.

I tried doing exactly as you did on the video. The problem I am having is this. The screen says press a to play the game. When I do the screen goes dark like it is loading, but after a few seconds, I am back on the xbox home screen. I am using the verbatim disks. Any thoughts??

@TheKevin6074 you really should have gotten an error... unless you burned with an iHAS burner. Try it on your console. It won't load at all if the layerbreak is incorrect, you will get open tray error or mixed media disk error

@ownedwinful samsung drive? problem right there lol nah I'm kidding. Your problem is either that your burner isn't compatible or (more likely) you use cheap (non verbatim) disks. Verbs are said to be the best to use because they are. Sure with XGD2 games you could use the other disks and not even notice a difference. with XGD3 the console notices the difference. Run your burned games through Kprobe2 at 4x speed and see the result. PI max should be below 8 and average under 1.
@GamingNowvideo I am having the same problem , but with only MW3 I have the right burner and discs but I have burnt it at 4x and 2.4x and still wont install or even play longer than 5 minutes.

@best123ization 8.13 will go onto a 8.5gb disk. unfortunetly when the disk says 8.5 it's an approximation made using an old calculation. the calculation is accurate enough when you measure small amounts of space. when it comes to more modern (DVD) size it's nowhere near accurate enough (they measure 1 kilobyte as 1000 bytes, the actual number is 1024). when you get to larger sizes this becomes really inaccurate. actual space on your disk is 7.9GB and not 8.5GB like stated.

@Y6U6N6US Laptop DVD burners are crap. get a external dvd burner. I have faced same issues with my dell laptop burner. wasted 5-6 dvds because of that.
@Y6U6N6US Updated specifically for this game as well I presume. That's unfortunate that you can't get it working. Samsung drive on LT 2.01 and burned using verbatim disks should work for XGD3 games. only other thing I can think of is try another DVD burner if you can at a friends or something. Some people say this happens on their console but the disk works on others, some say it doesn't work on any console. I really don't know why this happens sometimes :( sorry

@Y6U6N6US this is getting really common, what disks are you using (the media code that you see in the disk info box in ImgBurn) and do you know what type of DVD drive you have? Samsung had a bug at release and LT 2.01 was released. If you have a samsung you might need that newer firmware flashed. if you have a hitachi drive then you can't play xgd3 games on that yet. disks are the usual problem causing this
@gronnlue you get kicked back to the dash as soon as you start the game, hardly random lol but no, that is a bad burn that does that or a bad burner. a lot of people who sell games are spreading this as a rumor. Yes it does happen sometimes but it is not because of burning without iHAS drives. it's just games sellers trying to make more money. the kiks get put down to bad burn or burner but tbh nobody really knows why :s I have seen it happen with a disk burned using iHAS 124 and a 524 :(

@ravishissungod you are talking about Verbatims made in India or Singapore. you can check for Verbs made in India available at flipkart.com. And for Singapore Verbs check out ebay.
WTF, I'm Using Img Burn and I keep getting this message:

Guys two things which helped me:
1. I use Verbatim DVD DL
2. Instead of calculate optimal set it to user defined value and enter '2086912'

Then once I place the burn game in my system and press play goes blank and returns me to the dashboard

@ami6packs but how m8 ive tried my balls off to play mgs hd and skyrim wasted 3-4 disks on only these 2 and still no luck... :( and instead of turncate can i try over burn and close the writing tracks?

@ravishissungod you are talking about Verbatims made in India or Singapore. you can check for Verbs made in India available at flipkart.com. And for Singapore Verbs check out ebay.

@ravishissungod Skyrim and Halo:CE are xgd3 games and I am able to burn it successfully. If you want I can send you the copies. :)

@Y6U6N6US you should update the firmware to LT2.0. Also LT3.0 is out but it only loads 100% burned xgd3 games.
