Whew! I'm so delighted to know that this story takes place in 1910...I have been worried ever since I learned that "a river in the sky" is the way the ancient Egyptians got to their afterlife. I can't wait to read this book!

The first time the King Tut exhibit came to Chicago I was 13 and have been in love with ancient Egypt ever since. My mother finally refused to take me to the Oriental Institute any more but I wasn't deterred. Thank you for your Amelia Peabody series. The time period is one of my favorites as well as the location of course. Your books are really the only books I buy anymore. I borrow everyone else's from the library. Thanks again!

I'm so excited that we will be getting another book in this fantastic series. I have listened to all of them on audio, except for the one that Barbara Rosenblat DIDN'T narrate. Got 20 minutes into that one and couldn't take it anymore. My apologies to whom ever that other narrator was, but Ms. Rosenblat IS Ameila Peabody and no one else will do. These are some of my favorite books and I can't wait to listen to this newest one!

How wonderful that you have written another Amelia Peabody book. This winter I have been bored and stuck inside with a sore foot and I started rereading the Amelia books in order. I have just gotten to the year 1903 (Seeing a Large Cat) and when I get finished with The Guardian of the Horizon (1907/08) I will wait for A River in the Sky.
