Out of touch? Well, meet me back here in November 2010 and again in November 2012 and we'll compare notes. Dems have had majory rule for over a year and have gotten NOTHING DONE!! Can't blame Repubs for blocking any of their crap, the OUT OF TOUCH Americans did! In less than one year, Obama has dropped to below 50% approval rating. Oh how the mighty have fallen!!!!!Don't believe me, three major Democrat seats/positions just went to Republicans. Only one year later and the wind is gone.

You're right, the Dems are awful too. But the Christian Conservatives rule the Republican party. Anytime there is a decent Rep who has their own mind on issues, they are quickly flushed out by the nutty conservative contingent. And they ARE out of touch because they hardly run a candidate that people feel comfy voting for. They screwed it up by going with Dole in '96 and McCain and Palin in '08. Of course, this is just MY lone opinion. :)

If more people like yourself that have a good head on your shoulders came out in mass and showed the self-appointed "heads" of the Republican Party that common sense is needed and that they can't use the Bible as a book of law, then there's hope for the future of the party. Like Jimmy says in the next clip, "if you mention the Garden of Eden in a political ad, you're finished".
