  • lol even this game shows how scary vampires are. Twilight just have fucked all the vampire horror genre movies

  • Its a cello sample played/triggered off the pads of an MPC 2000 I believe. Reverb added from a T.C. Electronics rack.....

  • @xorxeeu You can't download it for free in a legal way. Go to Steam and proceed to checkout.

  • Reading all of these posts and comments really means a lot to me. That my music is appreciated and understood by some very aware people out there. Thanks so much. - Rik

I've finally found a new game project that I'm going to help score. Bloodlines worked out because the developer let me be me without compromise. The new project will be like that too. More acoustic than Bloodlines but my sound.

  • @rikschaffer Have you designed the music for the game? Congratulation! Because it really sets the mood for every level.

  • @rikschaffer Hello. What is the instrument at 5 minutes? It plays earlier in the song as well.

  • One of the best games of all time. Fucking amazing experience.

  • I have been playing this game for many years now and I will play it until someone at White Wolf realizes it deserves a superb sequel. This game made me fall in love with the vampire genre all over again.

Imagine what they could do for a sequel to Bloodlines these days. Imagine an open world setting like Liberty City (GTA4). Imagine walking through those streets at night looking for prey or standing on the roofs and looking down at the mortals you feed upon.

  • @AndreaZ64 I've been saying this for years. If you've ever played infamous, prototype or crackdown, thats the sort of thing I've been thinking of. Well, that but with far more social actions and choices, something less linear.

  • Deus Ex in it's vampire form!

    I'm proud of Troika!

  • @xorxeeu screw the buying part. go to isohunt(dot)com type the game's name in the search bar and there you go. :)

  • There are few games that compare to the immersion of this one. Omikron, Elder Scroll: Morrowind (maybe even Oblivion), I can't remember the others as i'm drunk right now. Happy new years :D.

This game though is unique in all of the gaming universe. The sounds, gameplay, immersion, I've been waiting for a sequel to it like I have been to Omikron and Interstate 76 (which will never come unless I make it myself) and so on.. Sorry I just love my old games.

  • Free games are my favorite way of entertainment.

  • This game needs a sequel and needs it bad. I just wish I could relive playing through this game for the first time again... Cause it was fucking awesome!!

  • I bought this the day it came out and got it installed on every songle pc I had since then. If one wantd to play you got to get the newest community patch.

  • THIs is the kind of vampire I like.

  • I wish this game would receive the attention it deserves. The vampire were all made sexy and alluring but very frightening at the same thing. The atmosphere and dark and immersive, luring you into the darkness, threatening to leave you in a pool of your own blood. Amazing game.

  • Spend Money for this Masterpiece!

  • @xorxeeu

    From Steam

  • 2:35 is where it's at.

  • Buggy, but truly stellar voice acting and atmospherics.

  • Oh yeah chinatown. This my favorite from the OST.

this sounds like the night itself.

dark, mysterious, threatening but at the same time very exciting and chilling.

Never heard any Track of an OST fitting so perfect into the context of a game.

Ok the game was buggy as hell with its crashings and plotbreakers but moments like the arrival at chinatown or the creeping through the 'ocean house' at night with a headset on was way worth the pain.

one of those RPG´s to remember

  • WhErE CaN i gEt tHis ThEmE?

    - sANe MaLKaViaN

  • Still, one of the best soundtracks I have ever listened to. I listen to this for many years. lol

  • I've played it till the end once, but this is just too buggy for me to enjoy it again.

  • @MateusTTTT

It's not buggy anymore, not when Wesp's unofficial patch is currently at version 6.8.

  • @MateusTTTT install the patch .. pretty smooth

  • Yeah i love this theme too )

  • best trip-hop track ever. best vamp based rpg........ahh memories

  • Best first person RPG ever! Is so unfair that this game was underated! I would love to play Vampire The Masquerade Bloodlines 2...

Oh,yes! This is the one of the best tracks of game! Thanks for posting it! ^^

  • "you will go to a restaurant and be served snails. Do not eat them! That disgusting! Snail very dirty!"

    The Fortuneteller's "fortunes" were priceless!

    Best PC RPG game ever!

  • @tanukisan666

Oh yeah they were! I remember him telling me something like "You will fly into plane. Do not sit next to 'big fat ass'"! XD

  • wonderful...

  • It's sounds Dark Ambiant and great.

  • Got original sound track from this game <3 there some nice ones ;) The way i "found" Tiamat...they had song Cain on this game soundtrack... way cool!

  • The best track from the best soundtrack ever made for a game.

  • absolutely perfect atmosphere for a vampire universe, dark and kinda goth, and the music is amazing

  • this game is like deus ex1,awesome games that fortunally or unfortally have no sequel...i take that back, this game is a successefull sequel unlike others games/movies like resident evil and etc.

This game has an awesome story, excelent conversations, brutal combats. in one word, perfect.

  • Every level was rather small, but the great music like this theme made them feel very large and athmospheric, genious!

Bloodlines is one of the greatest games ever created, no other game has given me such an immersive athmosphere. Now White Wolf is working on a World of Darkness MMO, let's see where they go with this project...

  • I hope it follows the same system as in the RPG table games, it would be more loyal and easy to manage without you getting paranoid with you're placing the points correctly.

  • I hope too... WoD MMO? Sounds great to me! IF they succeed, we'll have most atmospheric game to play!

  • @Rodriquez124 Except the sewers, where you need to find the nosferatus. That was huge, and I got so tired of it...>.>

I love every part of this game, except that.

  • @szaszs Don't start with the sewers, even after the X-th playthrough i always run in circles there :P

  • @Rodriquez124 They kinda almost canceled that mmo. Sad story.

  • ah....I love this music very much...and this game the best)

  • The best music is from chinatown, and the game is awesome, and so atmospheric!!!!

  • best portrayal of vampires i have ever seen and also the best vampire game there is :D to bad there's no sequel or something

this is too good to just let go :(

  • Chinatown had awesome very bright sky, like it was a cloudy winter late noon and not night, it freaked me out.

  • greatest game i've ever played!!!

  • sorry, where can I find the soundtrack? I mean to download, because I can't buy it anywhere.

  • Buy the game.

  • Just look around online. I don't any specific sites that have it. Sorry!

  • i bet you would not find it since the mp3 tracks are in the game data folder you can listen to them in mp3 player, so everybody has it with the game

  • Right click on the VTMB icon on your desktop click properties, on the target list, at the end of it all, put -Console then in game put in the cheats =D

    Impulse 101 Is cool ")

    max out all stats to.

  • come on dude...its a pleasure to play the game...no need to cheat

  • After playing through it once, I think cheating is completely fair game.

And come on, I really do like to use the Steyr on the first few gangsters you run into, lol.

  • If you want it, so buy it.

  • it's on steam.

  • @cl3mhims3lf from wherE?

  • Comment removed

  • i remember this, that's some dark evil beat right here

  • luv it !

  • i"m gonna play this FUCKING COOL GAME!!!

  • love it both are good..

  • I never got to the damned chinatown,.. :(

  • why???

    which quest??

  • Difficult to say,.. i kinda got stuck in LA, with that vampire eating bitch.

Its been a while though,.. kinda favor the first Masquerade because of the SDK.

  • ohh...

the vamp eating bitch???in the old hospital??

  • yeah believe so,.. with that dissapearing filmcrew.

  • whats your problem with her??

  • She was killing me over and over again,.. the bitch wouldnt die.

  • ohh thats bad.....try to be nice to her, than she'll give you a present that helps you!!!

or try it with a cheat!!...notarget...then she doesnt see you and you can kill her

  • Software Development Kit (NOD SDK v 1.1) for level editing, character creation, rpg elements,.. cool stuff.

look up planetvampire on google if you think its interesting.

  • I love Chinatown, it reminded me some much of Hong Kong action movies.

  • sounds to me like Massive Attack

  • can ya turn npcs into vampires?

  • no, you can't

  • sry im a bit stupid today...XD

    what means npc??

  • ohhh...

    non plyer characters

    right??

  • Can you please upload the Downtown theme?

  • one of the best games ever made. it's shame why they didn't make it for consoles too

  • It's a shame that they never did it properly.. if not for that damn bankrupcy and delay.

  • IF it'd been made for consoles too, they'd have dumbed it down, SEVERELY. It wouldn't have been close to the same game. Some games are better on consoles, but this isn't one of them. Look at what Bethesda does: the more they orient toward consoles, the more brainless their games get.

  • right IgnatzKolisch

    are you from germany??

  • No, I'm just a big fan of 19th century chess player Kolisch.

  • oh...ok

    im from germany

    thats why i thought it

    XD

  • cant say i agree with you- they could have done just a "special" version of VtmB, where everything on the character sheet is more or less maxed out at the beginning and made the character sheet inaccessible on the console but kept everything else the same as PC. After all, the average console tard dosent give a s*** about character development and wants only the content without actually having to strain for it. If you dont belive me then compare Bioshock to System Shock 2...

  • no its no shame cause on pc is the handling easier then on console

i think its one of the best games, too

  • This provides some awesome ambience. Excellent post.

  • VtMB has a great soundtrack

but if you want to hear THE BEST, try one of the SH soundtracks (SH2 and SH3 prefered)

  • SH3 and SH4 were the best. The first track in SH4 was the best song ever recorded for that series.

VtM:B does have one of the top 5 soundtracks ever. Wish they would have made a soundtrack CD.

  • well, it can be downloaded

  • Awesome. If you find a link, please post it. I've found only one so far (and that was at torrentbar) and it had its own format :(

  • well, we see what we can do

I also meant torrent, but I think there are more accessible versions (eg. a more common format)

  • If you own the game itself, have Windows Media Player scan your computer for sound files. I did this and it came up with a huge(possibly full?) list of music from Bloodlines, including NPC speeches, the music from each nightclub, all the radio loops, and the background music.

  • catchy
