  • Seriously, though, this whole prospect of, for-profit's is intriguing but in terms of what I want from a college, this is nowhere near those standards. I mean, can I learn from other teachers across the globe? Will I be able to work on research in these schools that could benefit society? As a comp sci. major, I don't just want a job but the tools to gain an overarching edge and actually stand out amongst the crowd and make a difference. But this is just me. Just what do you want?

  • @FF18Cloud Again, I don't hate anyone who goes to these schools, just, I believe they have to ask themselves if they want knowledge to make a name for themselves or online courses. You can still get a job, but what will you have gained from the school? I almost went for DeVry and ITT Tech, but I'll only learn the bare-minimal in-terms of computer science as a whole. 2-year colleges are great, okay, but again, I don't want fabrications of a degree, I want knowledge to discover and stand out.

  • The funny thing is I have family and friends who also attend Westwood and they are not experiencing any problems, but then again they are CJ students. I asked around as well and it seems that students taking the CJ program never experience the headaches or have schedule problems like the Visual Communications students. The staff and directors on the CJ program seem to know what they are doing.

  • I work full time and attend school full time. I mean business. I never miss a day of class, I’m on time, organized, do my work, study hard, not there to waste time and always have my game face on. I put in the extra time to maintain my 4.0 and make the presidents list. All of the teachers I have had knew their stuff, and were always willing to assist and give extra help if needed; all with the exception of my American Government teacher who was a joke.

  • I'm going to go up to the open house near me to get some more info and if I like what I hear, then I'll apply. If accepted and denied from the traditional four year university, I'll go there. I'm ready to start my career in cybersecurity. In this case, Information Systems Security.

  • @wvitalec are you serious? I was thinking of going to this school . What is your opinion ona good gaming school?

  • @XostrowskiX I am going here for Gaming and graphic design. Very good school and they are very helpful. I am glad I am going here.

  • @XostrowskiX forgot to add...as technology changes so does your field that your in. So, as a graduate if you need to go back and update your knowledge on new technology, it is free of charge for graduates.

  • @XostrowskiX Here's my take, if you want programming, it's better to get experience in computer science and informations technology. Schools that are great gaming schools are ones that challenge their students. Look at the full sails or Neumont grads. These students have work every day, expected to learn their craft immediately, or they are failed right out of the school. Really, though, if you go to a for-profit school, it would be better to just go beyond the material. It isn't just c++.
