Great vid Dave. Where was the MsR? Hard to believe I was just 20 miles away in Sheldon when this was filmed! Looks like you all had a great time. I sure had a great time flying with you the day before! Hope to be up there again soon! 5*
What an honor, Dave! I would have loved to have been there! Bring a quicker heli (other than the Blue Ray) next time and get them to appreciate rotory flight... I heard that kid say he liked the P-51 the best and I said, "You ain't seen nothing yet, kid!"
Try another bettery or buy another. I owned this heli (gave it to my best friend after my skills got better), so if you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me. I am no expert, but I will try my best.
nice video and good flying, too bad people like you don't come to my school. that's cool how you can go to a school and just teach kids about aviation, anyway nice job.
Great video Dave. It's fantastic that you do things like this. Have you ever flown your slower cessna 210 in past years for the kids? I think it would be another interesting demonstration since its slower.
As always Dave it's been great watching one of your video's and i wish we had someone like you come round to show us all about models and how they gain left and just how they worked when we were at school ;-) and i'm sure you have gotten a few more buddy model pilots intrested in this great hobby = 5*
Nice vid Dave! Very cool of you to do that. Lucky classrooms! I did however get kinda scared seeing you in front of the class with the blueray .... apparently they didnt see the video where you crashed it ! hahah im jokin ;) .
great job! Thanks for inspiring us! i would cry if you go to my school and teach us! i got esky belt cp the green 1 i got it from xheli because you introduced were to buy and i buy but i crash it and here in Philippines there is no experience pilot and no 1 could teach me huhuhuh T__T but great job!
jgoudeau207 hit the nail on the head ... also my walkera ( i bought after watching a Dave Herbert video ) ch46 has no front wheels either ... even the best has heavy landings i guess ... i test fly and have a lesson EVERY flight..
man you must be the coolest physics teacher ever. i think your a teacher right? man if i went to that school you would have loved me. we wouldve got together all the time to fly maybe even during lunch! lol
Hope the students realized how lucky they were to spend the day with a master;) If you had arrived at my school way back in 83' My hobby&student flying might have started out so much sooner. This is what the youth needs today someone like Dave;positive, interesting and showing the World outside the classroom etc. 5-stars&thanks for the reply last month,Janick~
Awesome video. I always enjoy seeing the ones where you go to the schools and show the kids your models. It's a great educational experience and a great way to promote the hobby.
You are doing a very good thing by teaching children about planes and helicopters, its definitely inspire them to learn about aviation and the Physics around it.
Awesome work Dave and Jeff! I recently watched the video when you taught at that school previously. I'm glad you made a new one because now youtube allows more than 10 minute videos. Excellent work! 5/5
Cool, you should come to my high-school next year when we get the aeronautical engineering class. Right now all we have is the intro class i'm in right now. I can't wait for the aeronautical one, I think I will have a pretty good over other students because of the basic understanding of aerodynamics i have from RC.
Yep. Well they all wanted to see the Blue Ray fly fast, so this was the only way I could do it, as it is 15 degrees and 2 feet of snow on the ground with winds at 25! Besides, it warmed me up to add that clip. LOL
Nice job Dave. I have been thinking of going to my Daughter's school and doing the same thing. I just dont have any small planes. I fly a 64" Electric Super Chipmunk
Thanks much. Watch my video on Blue Thunder (above in video responses) to see more of it. Thanks. I wish I could go to all schools. I appreciate your comments.

...And later that day, a conversation overheard in the halls between classes at Sibley Jr. High:
Kyle: "That cool old dude with the planes 'n stuff was pretty decent. Did u see Brittany duck when he hovered that heli close to her?"
Brady: "Ya, 'n the best part? He didn't give HOMEWORK!" :-)
