    Steve

  • Good deal, kids are our future.

I like the little pop-ups that give us more information about the video.

  • another wonderful class with mister dave herbert 5 stars my friend****

  • What an honor, Dave! I would have loved to have been there! Bring a quicker heli (other than the Blue Ray) next time and get them to appreciate rotory flight... I heard that kid say he liked the P-51 the best and I said, "You ain't seen nothing yet, kid!"

  • Nicely done, the kids never took there eyes off what you were flying,5*****'s

  • hi mr herbert, i was just wondering where you got your little mustang. =)

  • What was the plain called and please reply my blade mcx s300 wont work it flickers the led when i try to run it i tried binding it it wouldnt work

  • Try another bettery or buy another. I owned this heli (gave it to my best friend after my skills got better), so if you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me. I am no expert, but I will try my best.

  • Please send me your 9 tips!

  • nice video and good flying, too bad people like you don't come to my school. that's cool how you can go to a school and just teach kids about aviation, anyway nice job.

  • ...And later that day, a conversation overheard in the halls between classes at Sibley Jr. High:

Kyle: "That cool old dude with the planes 'n stuff was pretty decent. Did u see Brittany duck when he hovered that heli close to her?"

Brady: "Ya, 'n the best part? He didn't give HOMEWORK!" :-)

  • Great video Dave. It's fantastic that you do things like this. Have you ever flown your slower cessna 210 in past years for the kids? I think it would be another interesting demonstration since its slower.

  • If you get the priviledge of flying outside, you should take some EDF's for next year. ;-)

  • How about you take a ride down to niagara falls and come to my school? Lol..

  • these children dont know how lucky they are . if you were to come to my school, I think I'd go bezerk lool

  • @cobrabeats9000 same here

  • As always Dave it's been great watching one of your video's and i wish we had someone like you come round to show us all about models and how they gain left and just how they worked when we were at school ;-) and i'm sure you have gotten a few more buddy model pilots intrested in this great hobby = 5*

  • digital camo, lol

  • Nice vid Dave! Very cool of you to do that. Lucky classrooms! I did however get kinda scared seeing you in front of the class with the blueray .... apparently they didnt see the video where you crashed it ! hahah im jokin ;) .

  • Its always great to see students have a genuine interest in something positive!

    Great work!

  • great job! Thanks for inspiring us! i would cry if you go to my school and teach us! i got esky belt cp the green 1 i got it from xheli because you introduced were to buy and i buy but i crash it and here in Philippines there is no experience pilot and no 1 could teach me huhuhuh T__T but great job!

  • hehe looked like a fun day!

the kids looked like they were dying to try some of them models haha

bet there were alot of questions on where to buy em and stuff lol

    good job man!

you would make a great science teacher indeed :D

  • I aggree Good job, I would love this to happen at myy school id bee likeeeee Wooww dudde tell me wheree you buy that !! Amazingg workk

  • odd how the boys looked more interested than the girls.

i would be so happy if this happened at our school!

  • Oh man, I would pay to see something like this

  • jgoudeau207 hit the nail on the head ... also my walkera ( i bought after watching a Dave Herbert video ) ch46 has no front wheels either ... even the best has heavy landings i guess ... i test fly and have a lesson EVERY flight..

  • man you must be the coolest physics teacher ever. i think your a teacher right? man if i went to that school you would have loved me. we wouldve got together all the time to fly maybe even during lunch! lol

  • Hope the students realized how lucky they were to spend the day with a master;) If you had arrived at my school way back in 83' My hobby&student flying might have started out so much sooner. This is what the youth needs today someone like Dave;positive, interesting and showing the World outside the classroom etc. 5-stars&thanks for the reply last month,Janick~

  • nice video........awesome photos.............nice flying inside and outside

  • Awesome video. I always enjoy seeing the ones where you go to the schools and show the kids your models. It's a great educational experience and a great way to promote the hobby.

  • You are doing a very good thing by teaching children about planes and helicopters, its definitely inspire them to learn about aviation and the Physics around it.

    Good Job!!!

  • hey i whant to get a plane but i`ve never tried flying one so can you recomend one for a beginner and also one thats not expensive?

  • Awesome work Dave and Jeff! I recently watched the video when you taught at that school previously. I'm glad you made a new one because now youtube allows more than 10 minute videos. Excellent work! 5/5

  • Again, great job Dave, passing on the knowledge :-)

  • You are a great teacher........

  • Cool, you should come to my high-school next year when we get the aeronautical engineering class. Right now all we have is the intro class i'm in right now. I can't wait for the aeronautical one, I think I will have a pretty good over other students because of the basic understanding of aerodynamics i have from RC.

  • I'd love to. I wish you luck in the aeronautical field, as the surface is just being scratched. Thanks for the comments.

  • Dave I noticed in the outside shots that you have really good looking corn for the middle of January. :)

    Ron

  • Yep. Well they all wanted to see the Blue Ray fly fast, so this was the only way I could do it, as it is 15 degrees and 2 feet of snow on the ground with winds at 25! Besides, it warmed me up to add that clip. LOL

  • It was really great to see that Blue Ray do 3D, Dave. Nice Flying. The P51 is sure faster than I thought too! Nice post. 5*

  • Thanks Louie. I appreciate that. The P51 is really fast all right, especially in a small room like that.

  • aww i wish i was in that class!

  • Lol that was pretty cool. Looks like the P51 was their favourite.

  • Thanks. Seemed to be so, for sure.

  • where did you get the p-51

  • Parkzone, HorizonHobbies(.)com

  • Beautiful teaching technique, Nightflyyer! I'm pretty sure a new generation of aeronatical engineers will come out of this class.

Man, if classes had been this interesting back then....

  • Thanks very kindly. I hope so. Sure better than studying The theory of relativity, for sure.

  • These future aeronautical engineers will remember you as their inspiration!

  • Thanks very much for your comments. I appreciate that.

  • Nice job Dave. I have been thinking of going to my Daughter's school and doing the same thing. I just dont have any small planes. I fly a 64" Electric Super Chipmunk

  • Thanks. You could go get the new J-3 Cub or Cessna by Parkzone or even the P-51, albeit very fast in the gym. Then go for it.

  • if nightflyyer came to my school i would scream :)

  • Haha. Is that good or bad? lol

  • good!

  • great idea dave !!!!

    cheers and peace

  • Thank you kindly.

  • Oh man, I would so love to know how many battery packs you went through for these classes.

  • 3 classes, 5 models. 5 batteries.

  • first* but yeah thats kool RATE 5 STARS!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Thanks for the rating.

  • I didn't know you were in that! I remember watching that as a kid with my dad. You have such a interesting life.

Would have loved to have you at my school.

Thanks for making these videos into your life it was great.

  • Thanks much. Watch my video on Blue Thunder (above in video responses) to see more of it. Thanks. I wish I could go to all schools. I appreciate your comments.
