  • @MrRgnji Do not judge? I don't care about God. But I know he and you are not with Him, I can see it too. So best you stay quiet when you yourself do not understand the role he is playing. Let him change the world, these Catholics will finally make this place fall, just as planned.

  • @bigbullsful jesus never said that mate and i can tell you right now pal belial compared to jesus is a very very small fish

  • Of course he's gay, he's from the land of the crazies, California.

  • BRAVO Fr. Jeff you are a great witness to the Gospel and a wonderful role model for all of us in the LGBT community and the Catholic Church! BRAVO and THANK YOU!

  • Catholics, you predictable fools....

  • @FallingBlackShadows Do not judge what you do not understand.

  • Lmao, some of these comments are fucking hillarious. He's the devil RUNNNN!!!!!!

  • Very sick..

  • Brave priest! god is truly in him.

  • What a terrible looking Novus Ordo altar table. Where is the religious iconography? Very Protestant looking.

  • @MyBetty111 It IS a protestant, wasn't that obvious?

  • @MrViaDolorosa The Novus Ordo Catholics still call tables like that Catholic.

  • @MyBetty111 Protestants call themselves Catholic (Universal), should we take that serious? I don't think so... Tables shouldn't come out of the kitchen.

  • @MrViaDolorosa Tables do come out of the kitchen in the Novus Ordo Catholic CHurch.

  • A big hug to this priest. Very brave, very moral, and very refreshing! I wish him the best! (and I'm an atheist, btw)

  • The only differance between Roman Catholics and Lucifer, is that we can them but not him!lol

  • This poor man is just in the wrong church. He needs to join one where you can teach from your "feelings", and define human dignity for yourself. It need not be based upon any unchanging truth, since feelings are not moored to anything permanent. Certainly the belief that human sexuality includes the misappropriation of the digestive tract is a position charged with "feelings", most I'm sure quite painful.

  • He is a terrible priest not because he is gay, but because he is in disobedience to his bishop, the pope, the magisterium and because he has caused public scandal and may have led souls astray. For these things he will have to answer to the Almighty not because he is gay (that is if he is not an active homosexual)

  • @marnieBCN Congratulations! You win the prize for having the most ignorant comment on YouTube!

  • @marnieBCN congratulations!! you are very brave and have made the BEST statement anchored on TRUTH on youtube

  • The problem is, no matter how much society wants to change the meaning of a word, it is impossible. Marriage the union between a male and a female that results in procreation. This IS what marriage IS. It's not merely a slip of paper, or a societal recognition of two individuals as married.

Also if society was going absolutely nuts and decided that the killing of an individual is not murder, can they change the definition of murder? I'll leave this up to people who support gay marriage.

  • @GregariousGorilla If that's the definition, then all 'married' couples who happen to be childless are not really married, are they? According to you. Name me one, just one, difference between a gay married couple and a heterosexual couple who decides not to have a family. And I mean a reasonable difference, not a reference to genitalia. Give me something intelligent, if you can.

  • @GregariousGorilla very good comment!

  • thank God my generation is more orthodox, true to the faith, and conservative then the previous one the baby boomers have really screwed up the church we got a lot of cleaning up to do

  • A terrible example of what a priest should be.

  • @setto You're a terrible example of what a rational thinking mind should be.

  • I will never understand why a Priest must disclose whether they are gay/straight anyway. A Priest's position is to be married to the Church and ordained to be personna Christi at Mass. In reality, they have no need of a sexual orientation because they are celibate and never will go into any form of relationships. It makes no sense for me that a Priest should 'come out' or, indeed, support anything against the Church's teaching on this issue. It's an act of stupidity and apostasy.

  • @SleepingSun27 this priest new from the get go he was gay and should have not gone for the priesthood its not accecptable at any stage , celebrating mass in mortal sin is big no no it disrespects jesus bigtime

  • @mufc99ok I agree dear brother, it is dangerous not only for his soul but the souls of his Parish.

  • @SleepingSun27 Please! This is too much! Dangerous for the souls of his parish, are you kidding me? You mean if you were in that parish you might turn gay after hearing that sermon? And on top of that you really think gays are going to burn in hell? Did you ever have a jealous thought over something your neighbor had? Oh yeah? Then guess what, buddy, 'God' says you're going to hell, too. How about them apples. If you think hell is for people who don't follow the Bible literally - heaven's empty

  • @Xoletta No, I don't think that at all. You misunderstand theology and my point. Pax.

  • “‘If a man has sexual relations with a man as one does with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They are to be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.

    Levitcus 20:13

  • if he was gay why did he become a priest celebrating holy mass in a state of mortal sin is completly wrong

  • @mufc99ok May God have mercy on his Soul.He has gone against The Church and the Bible he has Sinned. He should obey and not follow his heart.

'The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure.' Jeremiah 17:9

  • @mufc99ok

It is only wrong if the Priest is "actively" homosexual. If it is simply a matter of having the inclination, but not acting upon it, then it is like a person who is say.... a drug addict by inclination, yet if they don't do the drug, and avoid the occasion of sin, then they are not sinning in that they have the inclination.

  • @mufc99ok it is not a mortal sin to become a priest while in the state of homosexuality. everyone is called to holiness regardless of their state in life. Remember, being a priest is not a decision made by the man but a calling from God himself. Every Catholic priest had to go through the process of Discernment. Which this man has made and has found his calling from God. God does not call the qualified; he qualifies the called.

  • @MrRgnji yes everyone is called to holiness and if i were gay id never become a catholic priest remember pal the priest is the only one on earth who can consecrate and being in a state of mortal sin while celebrating the mass is not on , not on ever it insults christ

  • This man is a champion.

But my 5 year old grandson would know the difference between right and wrong so basic.

This stupid church is so far in the dark......this priest should go get a real job...He would be good at anything.

  • Fr. Jeff has fallen into the same mindset as have so many others: " This is what I believe, this is what I feel, focusing on I,I,I, ME,ME! As Catholic Christians, is'nt what really counts, are the teachings in Holy Scripture, the Catechism, & the Magesterium? Give The Church credit though, for thoughtfully deferring to scientific fact, much more readily, than most other religions. I.E. back in the '50s Catholic schools taught Darwins Theory-as THEORY. If sex preference is truly inate, prove it.

  • That's the satanic evil catholic church for you

  • @HeidyfromNorway It's the evil Christian religion for you, actually.

  • A person does not need hatred or any kind of phobia in order to acknowledge important differences between heterosexuality and homosexuality. Even non-religious people know this.

The homosexual agenda is not good for anyone, including those who consider themselves "gay".

Homosexual activists, with support from the media, have successfully framed themselves as noble victims; it's an effective way to push a social agenda.

  • and based on that answer, do you deserve Heaven or Hell? I will pray for you Father, that the good Lord open your eyes, and be faithful to his teachings, not the media and other ppl, just to get their approval.

  • @xcolompapi, it's not what we deserve" so to speak because by this man's 'own words', he's made his 'choice'. Even if we never understand it, God/Jesus said No and have "Their" reason for doing so, and who am I to say any different (as just about EVERYTHING else they've told us has come true), if in the end it will only work "against" my good? We've done things our own way since the beginning of time and as Dr. Phil says, "how's that working for you", and we can see the results.

  • You said while you were alive, in that interview, that you have to follow your conscience no matter what anyone says...Does that ANYONE include Me, my son? How many ppl did you spread that message to son, because you're also held responsible for them..I gave them to you to lead" Did you repent, from teaching others against my will, my love?

  • Notice he says that on the day you die, the question will be "were you true to your conscience?"...He seems even nervous saying it....Father, are you being true to YOUR conscience? He made no mention of God the Father, to which at that moment, He will say, "Great, son...you followed your conscience...how about my LAWS and COMMANDMENTS son....did you follow those as well?

  • @xcolompapi, Exactly 'he' followed "his conscience", NOT God/Jesus' Word. When he stands before the Lord and sees ALL that he's missed out on, I make you a guarantee that he will be sorrowful to his very soul for what he's done "to himself", I pray he wakes up and gets to know how much the REAL Jesus Christ loves him before it's too late.

  • As much as I agree with this man, it makes me think we should not, as Richard Dawkins would put it, "forget the elephant in the room; an elephant called religion." I think it'd be a lot better if we discarded the anti-gay Catholic religion instead of trying to cover it up with a fuzzy warm blanket of acceptance.

  • @ChairmanDrek757, Yep, "religion" has killed MANY, so please read the Bible to see what Jesus had to say 'against' it (he only made one good reference in James 1:27 about it), because of the pain, misery and death it would ultimately bring to many.

  • @jebeja Oh, you're not one of those people who thinks religion and Jesus are polar opposites are you? Ugh, Jesus would obviously be against gay marriage if he were here today. He made the ridiculous statement that looking at a woman with lust was "adultery". And if you agree with Paul, then you ought not to believe in gay marriage. It proves my point that religion is the root cause of this injustice against humanity. And don't say "Jesus" is excluded from this criticism because he's not.

  • @ChairmanDrek757, "you" can say whatever "you" want, but YES Jesus and religion ARE most certainly polar opposites, even if "you" never believe or accept that FACT. JESUS created this world, so He can be against whatever He wants, while still showing how much He really cares for you, despite your nasty comments. He's letting you live and giving you the chance to put your misconceptions of Him aside, by closing your mouth and searching for the truth of His love for you.

  • @jebeja I can prove I'm right, though. All you're doing is making empty declarative statements that a Muslim could make about his god, can you demonstrate your claims? I can demonstrate mine, see?

Religion: a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.

  • @jebeja Sound familiar? I think that's what you believe about Jesus, right?

  • Man can say what they want. God says homosexuality is a sin. Gods laws before man.

  • I wish I could meet him in real life cuz I jus wanna go up to him, give him the biggest hug ever and say "thank you"

  • @CuriosityRoads And do you follow its teachings? Note: its teachings, not it's, as the apostrophe signifies the abbreviation of IT IS. Didn't they teach you that at Sunday School?

  • @drdst17 Doesn't Leveticus also state that man should not wear mixed fibres. Leveticus 19:19 "'Keep my decrees. "'Do not mate different kinds of animals. "'Do not plant your field with two kinds of seed. "'Do not wear clothing woven of two kinds of material."

You've got to take the Bible with a pinch of salt.

  • @ELsnrub If you don't like what it says, don't pretend to follow it's teachings. Faggots take note.

  • @ELsnrub Not with salt but with proper instruction. The Law fulfilled when Jesus died on the Cross to pay the price for sin. Old Testament = Old Covenant, New Testament = New Covenant. John 13:33-35- 34.A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. 35.By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

  • @ELsnrub The Law was to DISTINGUISH Jews from others by their EXTERNAL practices& to keep them conscious of their inability to keep the Law, therefore look forward to the Messiah Jesus. Because the shedding of Jesus' blood was a one-time sacrifice that REMOVED SIN. The blood of animals COVERED SIN so they had to do that repeatedly when they sinned. Jesus can now live inside a person's heart who asks Him2 but couldn't in Old Testament Bcs Jesus hadn't shed His Blood died on the Cross yet

  • @IamAbillionaireNow I know all that you have just said. The point I was making is that people claim to follow scripture from the Bible, when in fact, it is neigh near impossible to abide by every law or statement made in the Bible. If your hand causes you to sin, you should cut it off. Yeah, who is going to do that? Eating shellfish is an abomination, people eat it all the time, the same Christian people who use outdated and misunderstood scripture to promote hate.

  • if only more priests had his courage. god bless him. it really is what Jesus would have done.

  • @saintben2008 Jesus said marriage is between a man & a woman.

4And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that He which made them at the beginning made them male and female. 5And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Please remember to renew the mind like it says in Romans i.e. Make God's Word your opinion not your opinion God's Word. We are BORN with sin tendencies.Become Born Again

  • God bless this courageous and Christ-like man!

  • I've got news for this priest:

    You ain't a christian buddy, you're a satanist.

  • @CuriosityRoads You're full of shit and far from Christ-like!

  • You don't applaud after Mass. That is liturgical abuse. Why are these people applauding?

  • Discussing Prop 8 has no buisness being discussed in the middle of Liturgy. But then again this is a Novus Ordo Liturgy.

  • Horrible Julia Child altar table. So Novus Ordo!

  • so this Gay man joins the chatholic church as a preist lies all the way throw the preist hood and now he is saying he is Gay .. sounds like satan dosent it ..

  • @wisconsinoside There are TONS of gay priests who come out as children and then become priests.

  • SO GOD MADE PEDOPHILES MOLESTERS TOO THEN, DRUG ADDICTS ADDICTED......

  • @IamAbillionaireNow What an ignorant fucktard!

  • This man is a COWARD and should be excommunicated. It is so easy to go with the Popular sentiment of hedonism and pleasure, instead of fighting for Christ's Church. Homosexuals "cannot" ever be in a state of marriage. That is defined by God, not the state.

  • @drdst17 God never spoke of homosexuality! This man is courageous, because he went against the popular sentiment of ignorance within his own community. You yourself are evidence of such ignorance.

  • @MrSurfingdreamer I stopped reading after your first sentence, which is an outright lie. Leviticus condemns it, as does Corinthians, Exodus, Matthew, and a variety of other Scriptural books.

Come back when you learn facts, kid.

  • @drdst17 This so-called kid is a full-time doctorate student and EVERY book of the Bible you cited is based on a different historical reference; none which include homosexuality. If you want to understand the Bible, then go beyond listening to your preacher at the pulpit and reading the Bible itself. Research where the Bible is coming from, its unbiased history, how and why the wording has been changed over time in each book, and each version of it (there are many). Good luck.

  • @MrSurfingdreamer Again, kid, the Bible has NO authority in of itself and it never will have. Christ gave His authority not to a mere book, but to the Church He created in Matthew 16:18 - the Universal (Catholic) Church.

And I care very little about your "doctorate student" status - it doesn't preserve you from error, it only means that you have been in school for a long time. Study the Catechism of the Catholic Church if you want to know where my position comes from.

  • @drdst17, The Bible IS Jesus' Word and speaks of and about Him, and is NO mere book despite what anyone says. 'The Church' mentioned in Matthew IS NOT the Catholic, Protestant, or any other titled denomination but 'The Body of Believers' who know and love the Lord (and serve Him) from all over the world.

  • @jebeja The Bible is the Word of God, but it must be interpreted correctly, which you obviously do NOT.

Christ created a Church, and it is visible, and has been for the last 2000 years. The Church has authority, given to it by Christ in Matthew 16:17-19.

Your ego leads you into confusion and has denied you the Fullness of Christ's Truth.

  • wow @ 3:17 so hateful...

  • A BRAVE man. The majority should never vote on the minority. Its playground bullying if they go, in my opinion. and religion is a choice. sexuality is not.

in a room of loud lies, the honest whisper will always be heard X

  • A BRAVE man. The majority should never vote on the minority. Its playground bullying if they go, in my opinion.

  • @BrokenButterfly1000 I agree with you. I'm catholic and transgender. I wish that I know this man's contact information because I need some help because there's this priest at this youth-group that I visit at NY that is giving me a hard time about my gender identity. He said that I need spiritual-counseling(you know what thats means). I'm scared. My confirmation sponsor said its okay and his having it too. But still..........

  • it doesn't surprise me at all to see satan working in satan's church

  • Wow. That is so great. Good for him.

  • "take a stand"??? are you serious this man is a fake and a coward he's just going with holywood, and wall street. I'm sick of the media portraying anyone who hates the church as a lonely hero. This man obviously never understood what it means to be in catholic and to follow the church that Jesus build on Saint Peter. There's nothing heroic about this - just being a wimp and a coward too afraid to believe in somehting that is controversial.

  • @muel0341 but what about those pedophile priests?why they dont get punishment they deserve but the gay people take all the blame,it is so unfair.

  • @Laroughtenshighton There's alot of misunderstanding in this post. This point deserve a great deal of attention and care. Firstly, what pedophile priests do has no effect on the moral status of homosexual practice. Secondly, the church has been railed for pedophilia when much more pedophilia is going on un public schools that is left unreported. If anyone is the scapegoat - it is not the gays but the church. I am a homosexual man and I will stand up for the moral teaching of the church!

  • @muel0341 no hes against discrimination

  • @tallyhoman911 Well it depends - he might be against discriminating against certain people and certain beliefs, but he is explicitly FOR discriminating against other -namely - people who believe that marriage is between a man and a woman - which counts for over 90% of the black and latino population, over 50% of the white population and 100% of all faithful Roman Catholics. The Church teaches that all people are to be loved and respected - but homosexual behavior is still gravely sinful.

  • I think i saw this dude selling gyros on the streetcorner; good work Father.

  • 2:43..so he admits that while he's giving mass he just sits around and think's about shitting semen all day long? I think my wife might have a pair of high heels he can borrow so he can run out the doors as he hikes up his robe and runs out of the church being chased by now faithless people.. man, what a great 20 yrs it's been eh? From Swaggart to Jim Baker and now this!! At least Jessica Hawn posed for Playboy, and not some felching pics in a gay porn mag. Hey wait, I hear church bells ringing!

  • The Catholic Church has stated very clearly that homosexuality itself, is a condition and therefore is not a sin. However, it has never stated that it is innate as this priest suggested. Also, the Church and the Bible clearly state that homosexual acts (not the condition) are sinful and contrary to nature, but that people with this condition deserve to be respected as Gods children as well. Im sorry to say it but this priest made that up.

  • @walterygor The "Catholic Church" of today which is the conciliar Vatican II church promotes a vast array of heretical beliefs. Don't put too much stock in the things they say these days because its usually contrary to tradition and the unchanging doctrines set forth by Jesus Christ himself. If you don't believe me do some research. People ARE all deserving of love, this is true. However, it is up to us to understand and stop actions we commit and thoughts we entertain that do offend God. Fatima

  • Man this just shows that the world is being taken over by the devil but in the end God will conquer all evil

  • @NirvanaBoii lol, whatever, get back into your cave fool.

  • he is so amazing & brave, I just want to give him a hug <3

  • let me tell you something the catholic church needs to take into account two sayings

    1. practice what you preach

    2. lead by example

in tearms of celibacy i think the cgurch has two options here allow priests to have sex and marry or don't preach to us about sex and marriage because if they have no exprieance of either how can they preach to us about it and to those who say they are only spreading gods word how can gods word be intriptued on these issues by those who are celibate

  • I am an atheist, and I take my hat off to this man. It takes bravery to stand up for what is right when you know it will cost you. This man's philosophy on this issue is in oppostion to church doctrine. He decided to go with his conscience, an all too rare occurrence in theological circles. As a great man once said: "philosophy is questions you can't answer; religion is answers you can't question". I say hats off to this priest, even though I don't share his belief in god(s),

  • @boc1953 What is right!? Are you also a homosexual? Humans have a fallen nature. That is why we are weak to sinful things. The priest did not decide to go with his conscience, he decided to go with his pleasure. Our conscious is supposed to keep us from doing what we know is wrong against God's commandments. People have to learn self-control and stop giving in to selfish desires. We end up paying the price in some way for the mistakes we choose to make. Please understand God before you decide.

  • @DoctrineNever2Change Wow! Humans have a fallen nature. Like all religious believers, you place your faith in your holy book. Because of that, your whole concept of right and wrong is skewed and corrupted. This is what religion does; it substitutes false morality for true morality and makes it's brainwashed adherants think they are being truly moral. Like the crusaders of old, who thought they were saving the souls of those they butchered in the name of god. AND you pretend to understand god!

  • @boc1953 You are where I was a couple years ago. You will soon be brought to your knees like I was. This world will never fill that void. I despise the hatred in your heart. It only makes sense that the marital act of conjugal union is for procreation. The devil wants you to think it is only for pleasure. Have you seen "The Silent Scream"? A child dies in the womb because the mother is selfish and irresponsible. Watch it. I used to think it was okay, too. I used to be where you are in thinking.

  • @DoctrineNever2Change I have no hatred in my heart or anywhere else. If I am where you were a couple of years ago, you have taken a few backward steps since then. What happened to make you change? Animals manage to procreate without any marital vows, so do humans. More and more so these days than ever before. I don't have a void to be filled. My life is full in every way and I don't understand how belief in a god for which there is no evidence can fulfill you in any way. I am genuinely mystified

  • @boc1953 How can you say that there is no evidence of God? Look around you. The world is full of perfections that are not just by accident. I haven't taken any steps back as you say, only I've opened my mind by NOT thinking I know it all. Humans are way above animals on every level. We're made of same elements but we have intelligence; animals merely have instinct. I hope that you can humble yourself to realize that there is something bigger that this life. You just don't want to see it I guess.

  • @DoctrineNever2Change a cockroach can survive a nuclear blast, we can't. Birds fly, we don't .... We get killed by micro unicellular organisms. Somehow i don't think we're way above animals. On top of the food chain yes, but it's just through industrialism. I wouldn't want to fight a bear. Also :"look around you" isn't a valid argument. Not trying to hate or so, but please give me some examples of these perfections ?

  • @RustlessPotato Do humans not have dominion over this world? With cities, countries, societies inventions, etc? The only point you prove is that this planet is not our permanent home. The fact that you wouldn't fight a bear only leads me to believe that somewhere you have seen people can die from doing so. When I say "look around," I simply mean that you should look at the natural perfections of this created world. Ex. your heart beating and your existence and the Fibonacci numbers in nature. ;)

  • @DoctrineNever2Change I see beauty all around and hideous suffering as well. The world as I see it is a terrible place for most living creatures. Our lives may be pretty good because of an accident of birth, but billions of people don't have what we have. I don't believe a god would make such a system if he was just, loving etc. I am OK with the fact that I don't know how the universe began or how life began. A god answers that question to your satisfaction. That answer doesn't satisfy me.

  • @boc1953 Have you ever considered the fact that our misery and suffering is a result of our own choices and the choices of others? Greed, hatred, and all other sins are strictly forbidden by God's Law. You are seeking something tangible, so, look at the facts. The Ten Commandments and the teaching of Jesus Christ. We are given choices, that is the beauty of God- he does not force us to obey, he gives us the choice to trust in Him. So, what is your choice?

  • @DoctrineNever2Change Of course our misery and suffering is a result of our own choices and the choices of others. I would not say otherwise. I just don't call choices 'sins'.The ten commandments existed way before god gave them to Moses. Almost every one of them except for the first four, which are about god's insecurity and need for power! These first 4 commandments could have been written by Joseph Stalin! The teachings of Jesus are 180 degrees the opposite of Yahweh! He didn't give choices!

  • @boc1953 Wow, do you hear yourself? God's insecurity?! when you make this comment you are forgetting the purpose of these Commandments and also the rest of them. BTW, how is honor thy father and mother about insecurity? You make no sense, you just want to argue. You forget that these Commandments do not come from a hateful person. God is all good and all love. Are you going to run a red light because you just want to rebel? Or will you stop because you know the danger of it? Strange gods = devil

  • @DoctrineNever2Change Honour thy father and mother is the fifth commandment! I said the first 4 are about god's insecurity. I don't just want to argue! Did you say the god of the old testament was not hateful? Obviously you haven't read it! I am a careful, law abiding driver but I see not danger in not believing in a god for whom there is no evidence. I mean, if the 10 commandments is the best he can do, I don't think he is a very good communicator!

  • @DoctrineNever2Change You are paying the price for your mistaken belief in a god. It has made you judgemental and bigoted against certain behaviours and beliefs. Who are you to say that it is more moral to make homosexuals live a different life to heterosexuals? The only reason for your views on this is that you believe it's what your god wants. You not only believe in him but pretend to know what he expects of us. Particularly our behaviour after we are naked. Is that morality? I don't think so

  • @boc1953 It makes me sad to know that you really think there's no God. If this life is it: what is the point? Look around you, chaos is everywhere and it is due to evil in this world. I would rather live my life the way God commands (which is logical) than to live my life in a state of perpetual mistakes due to selfish pride and find I was wrong when it is too late. I see this life as a test of my strength against temptations and weakness. Christ is real, God came here to show us the way.

  • Vatican II is not Catholic They are ruining the Church and this man has been advising people in private for how long? Homosexuality is a against the natural order and a sin of the flesh. You will continue to notice these things as Vatican II progresses. They will deny what draws such a large response publicly, but in private, Vatican II will strip the Church of her doctrines. Look at ecumenism, it goes against Christ's teaching.

The Catholic Church is out there but it is NOT the Novus Ordo.

  • @DoctrineNever2Change What a shame you weren't around in the dark ages. You would have made a great inquisitor! Enforcing what you KNOW is right! In the name of a god you KNOW exists! AND you KNOW what he wants of us! What a shame...born too late.

  • @boc1953 What is your motivation? I know what Christ teaches. I am humble enough to know that I must follow Him regardless of what people tell me. What is sex for? Children. When this act is abused by those who only seek selfish pleasure it becomes a sin of the flesh. Obey God by understanding His commandments, especially the sixth and ninth. If you deny God, that is your own choice. I've been where you are and I finally found what fills that void. By the way, I was born at just the right time..

  • I hope this man is stripped of all priestly ministry and his platform for promoting homosexual perversion is then curtailed,it is no coincidence that men like him preach for gay rights whenever he is a homosexual himself,we do not need his like in the church.

  • @SwordofTruth33 Indoctrinated!

  • @SwordofTruth33 People who are homophobic are really gay themselves. They're just hiding it because they're angry and ashamed of who they really are. If gay people chose to become gay, then when did straight people choose to become straight?

  • @legalman1980 When we were born with penises and vaginas that were meant to be used together.

  • Thank God, one less phony Catholic priest perverting the sanctity and truth of the Catholic Church.

Yes, we will all die "Father," but the question isn't whether you will follow your conscience, but if you've followed God's commandments. That is 5th grade catechism stuff. Sorry the seminary failed you so badly.

  • @rigo4jesus There is no sanctity nor truth in the Catholic Church, child sexual abuse, the Pope and Archbishops hiding the child molsters by switching them through Parishes. Christianity and Catholicism are the two greatest evils in the world.

  • @loveless3138 Your radical view is logically and historically flawed. Noone or entire group of people is void of any truth or sanctity. That's too simplistic. Also, there WAS a level of moral corruption, incompetence, and deficienct Church policy among some Bishops/clergy in dealing with covering up sexual abuse which can be traced to the late 60's and ending in the early 80's.

Now, ask yourself why? It wasn't until that time that the psych. comm. knew pedophilia was untreatable!

  • @rigo4jesus What a joke! You think paedophilia only existed in the catholic church for 20 or so years? Imagine what was going on before investigation was possible! But I have read some of your posts and can tell you obviously don't like to open your eyes much. I hope you don't drive a vehicle in my neighbourhood!

  • @boc1953 Youtube doesn't allow links, but a Newsweek article from 4/7/10 and many other news reports, and what little research has been done, show that the Catholic Church doesn't have a unique pedophilia problem per se, since priests abuse children at the same rate as other men, and maybe less than other populations like teachers. Of course, abuse has been around as long as people have been in the Church. This scandal is about a cover up & moving accused priests by Bishops. Facts suck huh?

  • @rigo4jesus The main difference is that the church is supposed to represent god and jesus christ on earth. Compare the handling of this cover up around the world with the Murdoch/ News of the World scandal. The crime of tapping a few phones is receiving due process. Murdoch is appearing before govt committees etc. and may be charged. People within his organisation have lost the jobs etc. When is the pope going to be called before a commission? Or bishops sent to jail? The church has (cont)

  • @boc1953 On the one hand, you're right about the Church representing God, but it is only her faith, doctrine, and Sacraments that are divinely protected by the Holy Spirit. It is also a body made up of fallible human beings just like any other org. It is quite a double standard to hold just one group accountable for a crime that is a global pandemic. The Pope is a Head of State and Head of the Catholic Church, as with other world leaders, these type of scandals are handled internally.

  • @rigo4jesus utterly failed in its duty of care and doing god's will on earth. It has systematically facilitated the continuing abuse of children (probably for centuries) and has moved paedophiles to the vatican itself, in order to protect them from prosecution. Ratzinger himself is implicated in the cover up, if not the crimes themselves (which will never be known publically). It doesn't get any worse! And for you to try to defend this organisation outlines the main problem with (cont)

  • @boc1953 Your reaction is quite emotional, perhaps you can't help it or your disgust of the Church is greater than your search for the facts. The independent John Jay Ins. research found that accusations increased in the middle of the 60's and dwindled at the start of the 80's. The bubble is quite dramatic.

The history scholar Phillip Jenkins, not Catholic, in "Pedophiles & Priests" points out the incogruence of the facts compared to the reporting and general consensus of folks like yourself.

  • @rigo4jesus You would make excuses for any criminal or any crime if it helped you to protect the god you believe in. This is what happens when a person suspends intellectual honesty in favour of wish thinking faith. You are able to 'square any circle', justify any discretion, no matter how terrible, in order to maintain your baseless belief system. No matter how many crimes have been or will be committed under the banner of religion, it will still be the right path in your view.

  • @rigo4jesus dogmatically following religious beliefs to the exclusion of common sense. It makes otherwise good people do bad things without even realising they are on the wrong side of the moral debate. This happens because religious morality is accepted as a substitute for what we all know is real decent human morality. It's a disgrace!

  • @boc1953 Blindly following the corp. news media's biased reporting by non-experts in Church matters, who have to be tutored on the difference between a Bishop and a Priest, and not seeking the facts is precisely the problem with "critics" like yourself whose joy at singling out the Church robs you of your credibility and dispassionate reasoning. Without knowing you, I can assure that I have done more as a Catholic insider to expose inadequate priests than you or most anti-Catholics posting here

  • @rigo4jesus I take my news from many different sources and they don't need to be experts in church matters to identify paedophilia! I don't single out the church and of course I am aware of the incidence of child molestation throughout society. I just think it is particularly unimpressive when it is perpetrated by the supposed moral guardians of society! As for dispassionate reasoning, that is the last thing to come from any believer. The whole basis of belief is passion (ie. emotion).

  • @boc1953 Are you an ex-patriate? Religions like gov'ts are corruptible, but they're found in all civilized societies. We can value their place while adressing their errors civilly. Your blanket accusation of the whole Catholic Church is baseless & uncivil.

Why does this Catholic present facts while you just offer your emotional opinion without factual references?

Fact: Over 80% of the victims were post-pubescent boys. This isn't pedophilia, it's pederasty. The abusers were mostly hebephiles

  • @boc1953 I'm not excusing the crime or the criminal. I'm rightly identifying the criminal, which obviously isn't God (not that he needs anyone to defend him), or the entire Catholic Church, the Pope, but rather a small number of inept and cowardly, baby-boomer generation, Bishops who chose to wash their hands of the responsibility of defrocking perverted priests and protect children under their care.

Have I presented facts or myth, logic or emotion? Crimes are done by humans not beliefs.

  • @rigo4jesus Crimes are committed by humans who follow church doctrine. What do you think will happen if a man is told, as part of church doctrine, that he must be celibate? The sexual urge is one of the most powerful, undeniable instincts in any adult male and to forcibly deny it is a ticking time bomb. When this instinct finds a perverse outlet, it is not entirely the fault of an individual. The church owns some responsibility for it's doctrine. Cardinal Ratzinger is directly implicated!

  • @rigo4jesus Of course the criminal isn't god! There is not a shred of evidence to even suggest that he exists! I wouldn't accuse him. It's only the actions of his followers that I question. By the way, I am the first to agree that a great deal of good is done by those who work under the banner of the catholic church. I do not mean to imply that all catholic believers are not good people. I do think that the leadership is rotten to the core and corrupt all the way to the very top. Self interested

  • @rigo4jesus Crimes are done by humans not beliefs. , Partial truth . Crimes committed ...in the name of the christian god... must be put on the back of religion. The Crusades, the Witchhunt, The Inquisition, The 30 year war, The Conquistadores. The plunder and destruction of the indigenous cultures in the Americas. The participation in the Slave-trade. The pogroms and expulsions of jews in christian countries. The open support of Apartheid. The publication of the worst anti-semitic writings.

  • @loveless3138 "Christianity and Catholicism are the two greatest evils in the world."

How can you say that in light of the 20th century's rise of Marxist communism, Nationalist Fascism, nuclear weaponry, global Capitalism and the unjust ditribution of wealth, and the rise of Islamic terrorism? Surely, these are more evil than Mother Theresa, John Paul II who inspired the Solidarity Movement in Poland, and the people who, statistically speaking, probably run the soup kitchen in your city.

  • @loveless3138 "Christianity and Catholicism are the two greatest evils in the world."

Really, even in light of the 20th century's rise of Marxist communism, Nationalist Fascism, nuclear weaponry, global Capitalism and the unjust ditribution of wealth, and the rise of Islamic terrorism? Surely, these are more evil than Mother Theresa, John Paul II who inspired Poland's Solidarity Movement, and the people who, statistically speaking, probably run the soup kitchen or orphanage in your city.

  • @rigo4jesus The Inquisition, the Crusades, the Witch Trials accross Europe. The endless pain and suffering brought down by fools blinded by their faith. The innocent who fell in the shadow of the Christian war machine. Even today the Pope hides pedohilic priests and covers up sexual abuse. You would cower behind such a coward, as countless many do.

  • @loveless3138 Even if your one-sided view of history is true, these don't add up to the greatest evils in the world. The Crusades were a defensive war against Muslim aggression which turned immoral when they killed innocent people. The Inquisition was akin to the justice systems of its day, and often the accused preferred the mercy of the church's courts to the king's. Black legends aren't good history. Read a history book about the start of the university, hospital, orphan, and school systems.

  • @rigo4jesus When was the last time you stoned someone to death for working on the sabbath? Hippocrite!

  • @boc1953 I'm sure you don't really care about Biblical Theology, yet you think you can provide an example of a contradiction in my application of my own sacred text. There are hundreds of ritualistic laws given to the people of Israel by Moses which apply to those who are under that Covenant alone, which was provisional and didn't apply before Moses or once it was fulfilled by Christ. They aren't part of the moral law and though primitive to us, they were a step forward in progress for its time

  • @boc1953 ...period. It takes more than just knowing how to read to interpret and critique ancient texts, even sacred ones. Maybe you shouldn't be so condescending and quick to call someone you don't know a "hypocrite" because they disagree with you and provide factual info. that questions your self-righteous assumptions about how corrupt and evil the Catholic Church is.

Go to your local soup kitchen or the nearest slum in your city and, statistically, you'll likely find these evil Catholics.

  • @rigo4jesus I have never been able to understand, if the bible is god's attempt to communicate with his creation, why is it in need of interpretation? Surely if a god created us, he knows how to communicate with us without ambiguity? We find common ground on the issue of soup kitchens and as I have already said, I don't say that all catholics are evil corrupt etc. Many people do good work. Some say they are doing god's work when they do good things. Some of these are catholics.

  • And we wonder what is wrong with the Catholic Church. How many innocents has this guy molested? When are we going to take a stand against this garbage that homosexual behavior is normal? No one in their right mind would think the conduct of homosexuals is normal. Just think of what they do. Absolutely revolting!

  • @5papa, if you could try to be rational, if only for a moment. The vast majority of sexual abuse against children is perpetrated by str8 men. Your ignorance, while yours to embrace because you DO have the free will to remain uneducated, is a deadly plague on society. Cretins like you advocate extermination of Jews, slavery of blacks, & denigration of women. You cannot pontificate on what people in their "right minds" would think, until your own is set right. As it stands now, you have far to go.

  • @GodCreatesGays2

Don't give me your self righteous crap. You know exactly what you are. Talk about ignorant. If you are straight you don't go around molesting young boys, you idiot. You are a sick puppy and more than likely, are a de-frocked priest. Just the kind of people who are destroying the Catholic Church and are an abomination to society. You are also a racer; that is, when faced with the truth you cry racist, homophobe, etc. What a pathetic piece of crap you are, you sick loser.

  • @5papa babbles, "Don't give me your self righteous crap. You know exactly what you are."

Yes. I'm rational, sane, and educated. How very...telling that you deem those of us with such qualities to be "self-righteous".

"If you are straight you don't go around molesting young boys, you idiot."

And if you're gay, you don't either. I'm happy to school you in the differences between hetero- and homosexuality, and pedophilia.

God wants me to educate the unwashed masses.

  • @GodCreatesGays2

So does that mean only people with leanings like yourself are educated? You creeps just don't get it do you? A pervert is a pervert, no matter what degrees you may have. As for your rationality, saneness, etc., it is all a matter of interpretation. Naturally, one would expect someone like you to profess you are normal and that is your opinion. My own opinion is that ex-priests that molested young boys should all face life in prison for their perverted actions. Creeps!

  • @5papa sobs, "So does that mean only people with leanings like yourself are educated?"

People who work under the premises of reality, sanity, truth, enlightenment, and the Lord's will? Yep.

"You creeps just don't get it do you?"

No, we d not "get" the contamination which permeates your...mind. And we have the good Lord to thank for that!

    "A pervert is a pervert"

But that doesn't mean you can't change.

Have you ever considered reparative therapy?

God will forgive you, if you repent.

  • @GodCreatesGays2

Once again, your reality, sanity, truth, enlightenment, and the Lord's will is your interpretation. It is your interpretive skills that says you are normal, not everyone else. You see you creeps think that everyone else is wrong and that you are normal but you know that is not the case. What kind of person goes around and molests teen and pre-teen little boys? Riddle me that bozo, and then tell me you are normal. I am willing to bet you are a defrocked priest. Sicko!

  • @5papa screams like a tranny with crabs, "your reality, sanity, truth, enlightenment, and the Lord's will is your interpretation."

    Well, mine and God's, yes.

"It is your interpretive skills that says you are normal, not everyone else."

The skill to function within the realm of reality is a beneficial one, which you should work towards mastering one day.

"What kind of person goes around and molests teen and pre-teen little boys?"

    You.

    (That was easy!)

  • @GodCreatesGays2

You need to go into rehab pervie. Maybe you should go to prison. They would treat guys like you real good in there. You would love it. Tell us pervie, how many young boys have you molested? More than you are willing to admit, i bet. That's alright pervie because you know why? God knows!

  • @GodCreatesGays2 Yes, you're right. The vast majority of sexual abuse is done by non-homosexual men, however, are these men "straight" if they like pre-pubescent boys?

Pederasty is different from pedophilia since it involves an attraction to post-pubescent teenage boys. In the sex abuse scandal of the Catholic Church, and I only speak to that right now, a large number of the abusers were men who also enjoyed sex with other men. That is an unreported fact that, as a Churchman, have seen myself.
