You know, my friend said a couple weeks ago that he thought thrashers were "The Biggest Pussies". He likes stuff like "Asking Alexandria" and "Attack Attack!" (Which I'll admit, I listen to them too, but I don't love them as much as these guys of course). I wanted to tell him the obvious, but it would just turn into him making stupid excuses. Man I love thrash as much as the next guy, but the originality has seemed drop with the retrothrashers. Bands like Vektor and Witchaven are mixing it up the others seem to have the Municipal Waste "thrash is back/thrash is only music/get drunk/mutilate posers" message. That's why when I listen to modern metal it's generally prog, still some fresh ideas there

@somedude140 I love how people look at fucking terrible "Metal" bands like Whitechapel, Bullet For My Valentine, As I Lay Dying and Children Of Bodom and group then into your "today metal".

Warbinger, Dawn of Demise, Origin, Necrophagist, Edguy, Evile, Tool and Eyeless are good examples of music from today that doesn't suck. Look them up.

@xXxpl1cit They had one amazing Album, Doomsday for the Deceiver, their next was good, but nowhere near as good as this. After that, I lost interest. Sad really, this is in my opinion, nearly the best Thrash Album ever. 2nd to Years of Decay by Overkill.
