vc não tem um radio usado q possa me fornece sou do rio de janeiro brazil tenho vontade de ter este radio ok meu mail e estcolumbia@oi.com.br msn cristianocolumbia@hotmail.com
hi there, i no longer have the 718 but as you'll find it is an excellent radio, whether you're a novice or a more experienced user. best of luck in the hobby.
@KutWrite hi there, i'm using an Icom ic7000 now ( sometimes a Kenwood ts480sat ) but not been on ssb (voice) for a while. been quite active on psk31 but will be getting out and about portable in the coming months.
Hi there EI2KC, it doesn't matter how long it takes cos thats part of the fun.. hi hi... I've only just worked my first Mexican station this morning, just need his card now!!
@darkdestroyer64 Indeed! Heard ZL2JBR on 20m yesterday morning and he was booming in but he couldn't hear my mobile station. Ah well - btter luck next time eh!
Catch that grey line just right, and just a few watts to a low dipole or similar does it easily, and around sunrise UK time is definitely best on 40. Had there been no contest on, you could've had a QSO.
hey,my callsign use to be G1VEW so very close to yours.congrats on zl contact, managed on 10 but never on 80,so condx must have brilliant, what time of day,and years was it???
Exact rig and ATU I use! I think the Z-100 will tune ANYTHING! The 718 is a great utility radio... small enough to throw into a rucksack for portable ops too.
The IC-718 is a GREAT rig for the money! I've had one for years (got mine when it first came out), and I worked lots of ZL and VK stations with it on 10 meters a few years ago when the sunspot cycle was near it's peak.
Everyone the price for this is very cheap it is still a great rig. With a dipole and antenna tuner and 100 watts I worked a station over 5,000 miles away. You don't need a beam to get out or 1500 watts.
Very intersting!! The guy who beat you to the call DL8OBQ Uli is a friend of mine who lives just down the road from me. We often worked together as a team during VHF contests here in DL under the callsign DFORI. Glad you managed the ZL call on 40m...always a good one to work
awsome job !

Just passed Foundation and today put a deposit on a 718. Looks like I'm joining a happy band of 718 users!
