I was thinking about picking it up for the PS3, I haven't really trusted buying an Unreal game since 2003, considering it went downhill from there.

Would you recommend this one? Or is the population online too small?

@Inphinitii population to small online? there are always server's full of people. yes i recommend this one! you can even put in mods!!! and you can snowboard with the mod: snowreal. search for that mod if you have it

I don't think so. He's using a controller. Just look at how he never move view around the screen, his vision is always still, he just move it when aiming at opponent. I play it with controller, this is very similar to how I play it.

I am assuming that this was being controlled using the ps3 controller. I haven't tried this with keyboard and mouse, but i have heard that when playing this through keyboard and mouse it is very smooth and easy to control. Maybe someone will be able to give you an answer, who has played it with keyboard and mouse first hand.
