It is easy u were probably trying to flute beatbox Greg Patillo style which is very difficult but all you need, to do it this way is a electronic piano and set it on beat yep that's all you gotta do

This guy is at a much higher level than young greg. They're also playing significantly different genres. This guy is harmonizing with himself. People just get bored because he's not playing the theme to Mario Brothers.

i think hes using a recording loop. its where you play something first the machine records the sound and plays it over again and again. Its so you can do several things at once.

His notes are are more solidly formed, his tempo is consistently faster, & he's recording it as he goes. How is it not more impressive? I haven't seen Greg do that. Anyway, that's comparing apples & oranges. This guy is obviously used to organized recording environments, whereas Greg's a raw street talent. The two styles aren't really comparable. Neither is "better". However, he DOES have Greg quite beat in technical skill. It's all but undeniable. Why compete, though? They should play together.

I agree with everything but that this guy is more technically proficient, have you heard Greg Patillo's Bumblebee? or the Peter and the Wolf? But as you point out Greg P. has trouble forming the notes as well as this guy, but only because Greg is beatboxing at the same time.

He's beatboxing too.. he just makes it a point to form the notes cleaner. Seems like he's either been doing it longer, or just had more practice. I think tho.. Flight of the bumble bee is like the one song every musician learns XD, seriously. Like I said, though.. they're two different styles.. so not really comparable in anyway other than technics.. so it's hard to say who;s "better". This man's style just seems more disciplined and shaped skillwise, if people wanna go that route.

I would hesitate to say that because this guy is beatboxing then playing over it with the aid of recording devices, Greg Pitallo just plays which, I think, is why this guy is able to form his notes more cleanly, Also flight of the bumblebee is hard even if lots of musicians learn it.

You should see his other videos.. he does the same thing, although in the last one I saw, he was fluteboxing and just recording loops. Either way, though his sound is so much cleaner. I still wouldnt say he's "better" just more skilled. Also, yea it IS hard to learn that song, but not really an outstanding example of a song that it takes "the one" to do. I'm sure this guy could do bumblebee in his sleep if he tried. =). My contingent though is that they should be playing together, not competing.

actually, greg's technical skill is underestimated... he's not a raw street talent he studied music and has played with an orchestra... i do agree though. it's like comparing apples and oranges. completely different styles even though they both involve beatboxing

I like this music very much, but I think Greg is better. Because Greg beatboxes and plays flute at the same time. I know Mathieu's notes are cleaner but that is because he isn't also beatboxing at the same time.

The only reason for all that is that Greg Patillo is also beatboxing at the same time. Mathieu's notes are cleaner because he doesn't beatbox at the same time. They are both great at what they do. But you cant compare them as you say. But this isn't more impressive then Greg, but Greg isn't more impressive to. But I think beatboxing and playing flute at the same time is harder then this. But I love both styles of music.
