  • Open Trash

    Go to finder (on the top of screen)

    Then click "secure empty trash"

    WARNING: Your files can NEVER be recovered!!!

  • Take the file out of trash onto desktop

    left click on the file on desktop

    select get info

    change the name of the file

    put it back in trash and delete

  • u have a crappy screen recorder. u know u can use quicktime right?

  • Hold down options and click empty!

  • what about: you don't have sufficient privileges for deleting some of these files, what does that mean?

  • Download checkup, And stop the item from running, Then Secure Empty trash in the top left button named finder next to the apple....Or you might be able to force quit the item in the top left click the apple click force quit

  • Hi, try this video. It demonstrates quite nicely how mac trash functions. So look for video named "how to empty trash on mac". Adding the sudo command could do the job but watching the video might clarify your doings to yourself.

  • restart your computer, and make sure none of your applications open automatically at login, then try to delete the file. Message me if you have any more problems.

  • Hi. Use he "activity control" found under macintosh hd and then tools. There you should be able to see which processes are using this file or might be using it.

  • Im not a mac user. I use a PC, but with a PC you would usually boot into safe mode then delete it. If make has anything like safe mode then I would use that.
