My Eyes - where have you been all my life? I love the music from the 60s. It´s so honest and raw without samples and all that shit. Only poor good garage rock. At that period was my absolutely fav. an unknown band from Scandinavia called THE ZETTLERS. Listen to their versions of "Skinnie Minnie" and "beautiful Delilah". Irresistible f-----g gooooood!!
Not only does this rock, it's funny! Its mini-suite approach anticipates the Beatles' "You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)". (I especially like the Bo Diddley section that starts at 0:59.) All the Eyes are offering is a cup of coffee or two... and some great music.
Lotus, I hope your Dad knows the utter reverance in which The Eyes are held. I have all their (original first press) 45s (and the EP) and wouldn't trade them for the crown jewels........absolutely legendary band and despite having no commercial success, their music remains far more treasured than that of thousands of former "no.1 chart hit" acts........ wish him a merry christmas from us all :-) Hear hear to an Eyes reunion gig - what are the chances?
Bonjour, vous aimez les sixties ? écoutez et podcastez mon émission "le super son des 60's" sur le site de plumfm. You like the 60's ? please, listen and podcast my broadcast "le super son des 60's", connect to "plumfm". Salut et faites gaffe au rock and roll.
The Eyes were from Ealing. This dates from 66, the other side of "Immediate Pleasure". With the Fleur de Lys and Ali McKenzie back and gigging when could we expect to see the 2nd arrival of the Eyes?????
@stevem292 FUCK!!!! I was born in 65!!! right now I'm into Black Folk Black Metal and Punk Rock but I really like this .Muy chingona la rolita ,algo asi como las primeras rolas del Three Souls in my mind o los Dug Dugs .

The title sounds like a play on the Who's My Generation.

I thought so too, like Billy Idol's old band did.

@mrbag60 I guessed they mocked a bit the non-sense lyrics of the Who's My Generation.
