This was the area that made me hate Blighttown the most... it wasn't the trolls, or the poison darts, or the face eaters... it was the respawning mosquitoes with firebreathing bugs in the hundreds that swarm your ass when you are SO FUCKING CLOSE to the bonfire. If that wasn't bad enough there's water that poisons you. I died literally 2 feet from the bonfire... three times...

haha jesus I got so lost first time I was down here. if you've not found it already you go right to the bottom of all the walkways and just keep cutting right sticking to the wall; the bonfire's in a tunnel in there along with a chest i think. anyway, quick question guys - I've just started properly getting into RPGs, played ocarina of time as a kid, baldur's gate 1 and 2 for the PS2 and now dark souls. can anyone suggest decent games for me to check out next?

Where u picked up the plank shield there is a invisible path if u hack the wall if u keep going that way it takes u to a bonfire and eventually to ash lake.

There are actually 3 bonfires in Blighttown, there's one on the bridge up higher, near where you came in and started heading down, then there's the one that you're right next to and the end of this video, there's also another one in the swamp, if you go back to the path down where all the firebugs are, run through the swamp sticking to the right hand wall, there's another bonfire in an alcove, I fell into it by mistake, but it's great for boss attempts.

Always fix your gear when you reach a bonfire no matter what, just ensures you you won't have to use inferior equipment.

At 5:32 I'm pretty sure that if you had lowered your shield you would have been able to step back up onto the platform. Or at least done a roll or a running jump to get back up. Oh well.

You're going the wrong way. Hit the wall for a path to ash lake, there'll be a bonfire there, then go the other way for the 2nd bell

You missed at least two bonfires, one at the bottom of the swamp and another further up in blighttown where the ground is concrete, AND WEAR THE SHADOW ARMOR!

before you leave blight town, you should really spend some time farming the leeches by the giant tree/ They drop large titanite shards and green titanite shards. Green ones are needed for any of the elemental or magic/blessed upgrade paths. You should really stock up on some. and the leeches drop 5 greens at a time with a really high drop rate... and soon there will be a npc you can feed items too. if you feed him 1 green it gives you 5 regular shards. its really worth it to farm some. here

Ah your so close to a bonfire. From where you came from down all those ladders and stuff. Just walk through the swamp to the right along the wall and there is a small tunnel you can enter that has a bonfire right there.

Hit the wall behind the plank shield. It will disappear and lead you to a bonfire. Also after you climb off the wooden deck of blighttown if you would have went right along the wall there is another bonfire. If you have the shadow suit from blighttown it has high poison resistance thats why its there. Hope this helps

Ghost, you wanted a club that the poop monsters carry, well they drop it but it's a very rare drop. Plus you have to have 26 strength to wield it one handed. Also good work on the walkthroughs, but if the game is making you depressed, take a break and work on the less stressful games. If you took a break from this game, we would understand.

There is a Bonfire in the Poison Swamp - if you head right and hug the wall from where you entered it you should find it.

GhostRobo, you need to start exploring a LOT more. You already passed one bonfire in Blighttown (which was all the way up at the beginning), and you're missing so many items. Just get used to going everywhere else but where you need to. The coolest part about this game is exploring and finding hidden stuff :)
