ok bluejet2 im a drummer and have been for oo gosh gotta count hold on....... 7 years now i think 6 or 7 and im sorry matched grip sticks (what he is doing) opposed to traditional grip (where you hold on sideways and flick your wrist) the traditional will hurt you alot more on a set you only use traditional to show off or when your marching and your marching snared is hanging from a traditional sling instead of a modern harness so shut up please!

akira5000 its sumthin actual drummers will do. they hold the cymbal to kill the sound of it, instead of letting it ring out, if u listen to the song in that part of it, the drummer of rise against did the same thing because the sound stops in the song

I do know that is done by real drummers, But maniac did raise the point as to why he never used the cymbals when there are many parts that cymbals are actually used. So i do wonder why he doesn't use them more often, therefore i just responded with one of the most obvious answers.
