You can really feel the pain in X's eyes as they head for home. As for Zero's speech, absolutely classic. His last line sums up the whole Megaman X genre IMO.

He MIGHT have died originally, but the fact he is in command mission means they changed it to be a coma.

Since X and Zero do (in my opinion) NOT make the great team they used to, id like the storyline to be about Zero (for example) going back to his old programming, and killing people trying to draw X forward so he can fulfill his true legacy. The game starts where X decides HE has to go out investigate refusing to send more soldiers to their deaths.

The game could also contain taking different decisions, where some people would praise X for going "badass" (blowing up cars and buildings mercilessly etc in the city in order to get the job done, refusing to co-operate with bad guys in order to save hostages and so on) while others would want the usual "soft" X. No doubt his attitude is cold, but most of us know he does not give a shit about people dying around him.

If you watch Axel`s "secret" ending, you can see that he gets a slight purple sparkle on his gem that is the same sparkle that all mavericks get. And he is completely forgotten about in the Zero series, so I believe that when Lumine`s tentacle attacked Axl, he left a bit of himself in him.

Not surprised if Sigma returns in X9 (if it ever comes) how often has he "permanently" died anyways?

Yeah, If they make MMX9 I hope they use snes style graphics (retro like mm9) while Sigma should stay down, I have a hard time thinking of who could possibly replace him.

There's more endings than this. You get two endings, based on what characters you beat Lumine with. And I think Hard mode has a special ending if you used Axl for the final hit. Or maybe it's just using Axl, I'm not completely sure.

I suppose it's not really "endings" so much as additional dialogue and story for the characters, but still.

i suspect that Axl might go Maverick sometime after the X series... call it a hunch. Lumine's dialogue suggests the same idea and plus Axl's ending says teh same thing. Lumine in his death throws might somehow have transferred something into Axl. Again call it a hunch.

Okay, when X6 hit(it really wasn't suppossed to), Zero said he went to sleep for 102 years, which in turned was shortened to a fewer years less due to more Maverick outbreaks. X felt he didn't wanna do anymore fighting in X7(which was COMPLETELY GAY), so Zero took it upon himself to continue in X's place, seeing how their views on fighting were different.
