Beautiful voice (Victor). But is there anyone this guy doesn't cheat? While his girlfriend is nicely awaiting for him, he is having fun with another girl all over the globe! Nevertheless great performance.

Pamela Armstrong is the most underrated opera singer, she could easily be one of the best opera singers in our time! Pure, clean creamy voice with impeccable control, you could tell from her truly effortless phrasing, much, much better than many big name singers nowadays ... I wish her the very best!
Ma version préférée tant pour la voix que pour la sensibilité. Tout y est de l'amusement du début, en passant par l'évocation attendrie, jusqu'à l'ardente "profession de foi" de l'épilogue.
Wow, the guy(Victor Robertson) thats singing is my cuz. I couldn't believe it when I heard he was doing opera. He's doing awesome with it though, keep it up, Victor.
The human ear is so interesting. I heard ravishing, full-throated, healthy, glorious sound. A perfect Puccini voice. Ravishing in this aria! So many others heard something so different. I guess that's what makes horse races.
Pam is an intelligent and musical singer with a gorgeous instrument as this clip clearly demonstrates. It does remind one of Fleming, though without the production quirks that take me aback periodically.
we had this oper alast year in cape town south africa with pretty yende, and arthur swan and have to say and they mastered it... this clip is one of the worst renditions of this aria/duet
I liked it. I think Philm54 is so full of hot air that it affects what is heard. "pick the stuff that sells" - you might as well have her sing rap then. As far as Gianni1929, I've not met too many "slim" opera singers that can hold their own. Some are too critical of life to just enjoy it.
I think Pam sounds incredible in this video. Everytime I hear her sing, I find it hard to believe she started out as a piano major! The world would have been sadder if she had not switched to singing.
She seems like a poor man's Fleming to me. Pretty voice though. Wish she would slim down she would get a lot further. And in the top voice she is too edgy, needs more loft in the sound. Seems to be a solid regional singer not much more. And Philm seems accurate the direction is a little amateurish.
I thought it was absolutely the worst thing I have seen MOT do in all of the years I have been going. Other than violins that were excrutiatingly out of tune and so loud it was embarassing, the choreographer should have been shot for all of the distracting nonsense he had going on during act 2! That sort of distracting crap would have earned a directing 101 student an F when I was back in college. DiChiera needs to stop whining about small audiences, and pick the stuff that sells.
Simply gorgeous voice! I melted at 1:57! More posts of your performances, please!!!

Wonderful. Her voice is way bigger than that required by the role. I guess she'll tackle heavier parts in her future career.

Love the sense of no-holes-barred sweep that she gives at the end +-2:15 - no reserve, real gutsy singing - love it :)

I love the voice. There are no consonants in the top, but that it to be expected when you sing that high. Love it. I like the tenor too

I am not hearing this "edgy" top that you talk about. Infact, the top sounds gorgeous and free to me.
