Sounds like a defective USB to serial device. This is a well known problem I have gone through several USB to serial cables to get one that did not creat noise
The FT-857 is a fine rig I use it for sats via cat control. Not as good as my ft-847 but good enough.
Unfortunately a lot of plug and play hams try using the speaker out and not the data port for data and then blame the radio. There is an old saying you only need to be 10 percent smarter then the equipment you are working with.
if you do a google search for "yaesu FT-897D strange noise " you'll find a post on forums.qrz.com (by yo5orw - myself). I posted there a detailed explanation on this topic. Also there are some solutions provided by other hams. I sent mine to repair and now I have it back with no problems. Good luck:)

@Blaze1024
Sorry....no connection usb-serial---only transceiver......without antenna------problems are ceramic filters.

You need to send it to service (or repair it yourself). The problem is one or more ceramic filters, most probably ceramic filter CF1005
