@OVER9000VIDEOS The lens was scratched with no way to buffer out the scratch. I was so mad because it was a $100 webcam at the time but is now so obsolete. I had to throw it away and I can't buy another one right now and for that price I'll just wait and get a good camcorder. I know exactly what I want. I'm going to build a home recording studio for my music. God bless.

I used to use Sony Vegas pro 9... It's really good but I think it's best to use Sony Vegas pro 10 now...

Ok. It depends what ya wanna do with filming. If you are interested in creating special effects then i would reccomend Adobe After Effects CS4. But if you are interested in just putting clips together. I reccommend Sony Vegas 9 Pro :). Sony vegas can also do great special effects but vegas is mainly for putting clips together;)

for the the best result I recommend Media Composer by Avid, bout $2500 or Apple's Final cut pro about $1000, and last Adobe premier about $700. You could also use the sony software.

@kaloamani thanks, that's very informative. I'm using sony vegas. adobe was too complicated for me and I don't want to spend a week learning a program just so I can do amateur video editing. The people on youtube with truly great videos are spending hours putting together videos and I would rather make this a small hobby. I salute those of you with mad video editing skills, bravo.

Adobe Premier wins! I also go "after affects" by adobe, can't wait to sit down and use this stuff - THIS is what the top people in you tube are using but won't tell you from what I been able to find out. I haven't even started using it yet, but just reviewing all its features is mind blowing. Now I just need an HD camcorder $500 and then I can be more popular than "Fred." :P

Adobe premier cs4, but its complicated and I think I will just use Cyberlink director 7.

cyberlink director 7 or 8 and sony vegas are very similiar. The most common and affordable (mostly because of price) that a lot of people use is sony vegas 9 but adobe premier is only 20-30 dollars more honestly, its up to you. You will spend $50-100 on a good video editing software program - in the world of software, buyer beware! :)

Yeah, I use Cyberlink Powerdirector v8. You can fade in and out music on it. But I hate it as well... I am also looking right now for a new program.
